Takes great angles to the ball and is an excellent flat defender against the run. Good instincts, good lateral mover, has solid closing speed and can be very disruptive and hard to cover. Solid size, high-academic prospect, had a strong freshman season and is following it up with a great sophomore campaign too. Curtis can shoot through gaps, wrap up behind the line of scrimmage and flashes being a great open-field tackler who can run and hit effectively. While he is undersized, his strengths against the run are hard to ignore.
