Week 2 is in the books, and I couldn't be more impressed. We had athletes from across the state ball out, especially our signal-callers. I've found 10 QBs who balled out in Week 2 who people need to keep an eye out for!

[player_tooltip player_id='1612765' first='Logan' last='Lachermeier'], 5'11" 160, Minneapolis North 2026

12/14, 248 Yards, 5 TDs, 158.3 Passer Rating

It isn't hyperbole to say that Lachermeier is playing like the best QB in the state right now. He leads the state in passing yards through two weeks, and almost half of all his passes completed this week were touchdowns. Minneapolis North is 2-0 and has put up a total of 104 points, and Lachermeier is no small part of that success.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633417' first='Parker' last='Kuehn'], 6'3" 175 lbs, Springfield 2027

16/19, 262 Yards, 4 TDs, 158.3 Passer Rating

Springfield advances to 2-0 with a 33-15 win over Murray County Central off the back of a fantastic performance from [player_tooltip player_id='1633417' first='Parker' last='Kuehn']. He's got a fantastic 8/0 TD-INT ratio this season, and one of the highest completion percentages not just this week, but he's throwing at a 74% clip on the season. Definitely a small-town guy to look out for.

[player_tooltip player_id='1255909' first='Nathan' last='Ramler'], 6'6" 225 lbs, Chanhassen 2026

17/19, 224, 5 TDs, 155.4 Passer Rating

The Chanhassen Storm are 2-0 with wins over what was a tough Alexandria squad last season, and a Burnsville team that was a 6A team a season ago. Ramler, who is one of the most high-upside QBs in the state, is a key part of this success. In Week 2, 1/3 of all of his completions were touchdowns, and 1/4 of all his pass attempts resulted in a score. Big things are coming for the Chanhassen senior.

Daulton Bauer, 5'10" 150 lbs, Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton 2026

12/20, 287, 3 TDs, 143.8 Passer Rating

JWP is 1-1, and Bauer has been balling throughout his senior season. In a 30-29 shootout over St. Clair/Mankato Loyola, Bauer was electric, throwing at a 60% clip and rushing for an additional 28 yards. JWP has had some studs over the last couple of years, and Bauer could land himself on the map with a few more showings like this one.

[player_tooltip player_id='1256241' first='Hayden' last='Swenson'], 5'11" 180 lbs, International Falls 2026

10/11, 274 Yards, 6 TDs, 158.3 Passer Rating

A returning All-District member from a year ago, Swenson has been on fire during his senior campaign thus far. Week 2 saw Swenson light up the Ely defense in a 59-8 win, where one out of every two of his passes was for a TD. He's almost halfway to his TD total from last season, and we're only two weeks into the year. International Falls should have an explosive offense with Swenson at the helm.

[player_tooltip player_id='1295895' first='Gabriel' last='Hall'], 5'11" 160 lbs, Robbinsdale Armstrong 2026

15/20, 221 Yards, 2 TDs, 144.0 Passer Rating

The Robbinsdale Armstrong Falcons and their QB1, Gabe Hall, have had a very productive start to their season, notching two wins and putting up a stunning 75 points in that time span. Hall has been passing at about a 75% clip through two weeks this season and is averaging a great 133.1 passer rating. I'm a big fan of Armstrong's potential this season, and Hall is emerging as one of the top QBs in 5A.

[player_tooltip player_id='592229' first='Izaak' last='Johnson'], 6'3" 185 lbs, Cretin-Durham Hall 2026

13/21, 207 Yards, 4 TDs, 134.3 Passer Rating

I've been a big fan of Johnson in the past, and I'm psyched to see him playing so well through the first quarter of the season. The Raiders routed St. Paul Central in a dominant 69-0 win to put them at 1-1. Johnson now has a great 6-0 TD/INT ratio, and has some impressive film from last Friday, which shows off his fantastic ball placement. CDH is a team to watch this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1662074' first='Jacob' last='Dulitz'], 6'2" 200 lbs, Alden-Conger/Glenville-Emmons 2027

15/24, 196 Yards, 4 TDs, 2 INTs, 93.1 Passer Rating

Dulitz earned his way onto this list with the second straight 4 TD game of the season, as ACGE moves to 2-0 with a 36-0 win over Lanesboro. He also added an additional 45 yards and a 2-point conversion on the ground, as well as some 4 tackles on defense. Dulitz is an out-state prospect whose stock could skyrocket during his junior year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1581375' first='Kellen' last='Willaert'], 6'1" 165 lbs, Mankato East 2028

16/21, 257 Yards, 3 TDs, 1 INT, 136.3 Passer Rating

Usually, when a sophomore gets the starting nod for a 5A program, they end up being pretty special. Mankato East is now 2-0 behind Willaert, which includes a big Week 1 win over Owatonna, and a 48-26 W last week against Rochester John Marshall. Willaert is a 2028 with a high ceiling, and I'm eager to watch him the rest of the season.

Jack Runk, 5'10" 170 lbs, Stillwater 2027

12/15, 181 Yards, 4 TDs, 156.5 Passer Rating

After a tough Week 1 loss to perennial powerhouse Maple Grove, Runk and the Stillwater Ponies rallied in Week 2 to an insanely dominant 50-9 win over Park of Cottage Grove. The baseball standout had a stellar Week 2, with 1/3 of his total passes being TDs, while picking up an additional 16 yards on the ground. Runk and the Ponies are a 6A team to watch the rest of the season.
