[player_tooltip player_id='412019' first='Trey' last='Tagliaferri'] delivered a performance that backed up every bit of preseason buzz. The freshman quarterback threw three touchdowns, showing poise beyond his years. He consistently attacked down the field with accuracy and touch, proving he could challenge defenses deep. What stood out most was his command of the offense — especially in a two-minute drill where he kept everything on time and mistake-free. Tagliaferri looked like a complete quarterback, operating within the system but also making big plays when needed. This game was a clear statement about his preparation, polish, and high ceiling as Bergen Catholic's new leader under center.

[player_tooltip player_id='212385' first='Dante' last='Kain'] proved why he's one of Bergen Catholic's most valuable weapons. He set the tone early with a physical running style, consistently churning out yards after contact and capping off a drive with a touchdown. His impact didn't stop in the backfield — split out as a wide receiver, Kain showed soft hands and the ability to create plays after the catch. That versatility made him a constant problem for Winslow's defense. While he often flies under the radar compared to Bergen's bigger names, Kain's performance showed he can do it all. If he keeps producing at this level, he has the tools to play the game for a long time beyond high school.

[player_tooltip player_id='284069' first='Najee' last='Calhoun'] backed up his status as Prep Red Zone's top running back in the 2026 class. From the opening drive, he set the tone with his physicality. He consistently gained yards after contact, dragging defenders and carrying them downfield. Calhoun also flashed big-play ability, ripping off chunk runs that flipped field position. His patience and vision stood out, as he let blocks develop before bursting through lanes. He capped off his night with a rushing touchdown and was the engine of Bergen Catholic's ground attack. Against Winslow, Calhoun proved once again that he's the kind of back who can take over a game. He finished the game with 154 rushing yards on 17 carries.

[player_tooltip player_id='606231' first='Nakeem' last='Powell'] was one of the few bright spots for Winslow's offense. He finished with 96 receiving yards and proved to be the most reliable playmaker in a tough matchup. Powell's versatility stood out, as he lined up at running back, wide receiver, and moved all around the formation to create mismatches. His thick frame allowed him to break tackles, while his elusiveness gave him extra yards after the catch. Even though Winslow struggled to generate consistent offense, Powell showed why he's one of their top weapons and a player defenses will have to account for all season.
