Miller has been a baseball prospect for some time. He's beginning to show a high aptitude for football as well. The Centennial sophomore has taken a step forward from a physical standpoint when you compare his freshman clips of 2024 to what he's put out there so far this fall. The first-year varsity starter has completed 62.5 percent of his passes for 222 yards and four touchdowns against just one interception. Miller stands out for his poise in the pocket, especially considering his youth and inexperience. You can see the baseball arm when he hits quick outs with dimes. There's a starter kit here for a lot of success with further development. He's definitely one to monitor.

Harrison got his feet wet with 13 carries as a freshman in 2024. He even scored a touchdown. Having grown his game and matured physically, Harrison has embraced a larger role this fall. The sophomore has carried 18 times for 145 yards and three touchdowns through just six weeks of the season. He's added a pair of two-point conversions. Harrison posted his highlights from an early-season game against rival Lincoln. The first clip has him patiently following his blocks up the middle before putting his foot in the ground and hitting the jets. It's encouraging to see him find success between the tackles as a smaller back because you know he can get the corner.

Wright is off to a strong start in his first season as a varsity contributor. Through the first three games in 2025, the sophomore caught eight balls for 136 yards and a touchdown. It's caught the attention of college coaches. We witness how Wright operates watching clips from this year on his Hudl page. Against Ottumwa, the first few plays have him operating underneath, using quickness and power to help him pick up yards. On the long touchdown play, he runs by his defender down the seam and is off to the races. Wright appears to have a well-rounded skill set for the position and should be on everyone's radar.

Herlich has stepped in and made an impact during his first season on the Pleasant Valley varsity. That's saying something for a sophomore in a program that produces top talent annually. Herlich had stacked up 10.0 tackles through the Spartans' first three games of the 2025 campaign. Eight of those stops were of the solo variety. I couldn't find any video of him playing this season but tracked down clips from last year on his Hudl page. Herlich uses quickness to his advantage on the defensive line. He's gets off of the snap quickly and is tough for blocker to square up. Herlich effectively uses his hands to get off of blocks and plays with a good tempo.

Jorgenson has been an early-season breakout in Class 4A. In his first year of varsity competition, the sophomore has tallied a team-high 22.5 tackles with 19 of them being solo. He's been credited with 4.5 tackles for loss and added 73 yards and a touchdown rushing the football. Jorgenson put together a highlight video from his first three games of the 2025 season. On it we witness a guy who flies to the football but does so under control. He's technically sound at breaking down the ball carrier and form tackling. Jorgenson's pre-snap reads have him flowing to the football early in the play. A linebacker in the Waverly-Shell Rock defense, he could play safety or hybrid in other schemes. Jorgeson's also flashes potential carrying the ball.

Hendricks has made the most of his first varsity opportunity in 2025. The sophomore ranked among his team's leaders in tackles (15.0), solo tackles (10) and tackles for loss (2.5) through the season's first three contests. He also recorded a sack and forced three fumbles, recovering one. Hendricks chipped in on offense with eight carries for 43 yards. Not yet with highlights from this season on-line, we checked in on his freshman clips. They feature him carrying the ball quite a lot. In that role, we see the speed and athleticism that aids him as a defender. The clips of him operating on defense confirm that and show a young man flying to the football with bad intentions.
