In this article, we predict offensive awards across Section One, for the 2025 football season.

Best QB Top 5: [player_tooltip player_id='1229592' first='Carson' last='Miller'](Rye), [player_tooltip player_id='1624566' first='Ethan' last='Dedvukaj'](Mahopac), [player_tooltip player_id='1720765' first='Chase' last='Perini'](North Rockland), [player_tooltip player_id='1624553' first='TJ' last='Lanese'](Pearl River), [player_tooltip player_id='1742325' first='Connor' last='Brice'](Tuckahoe)

Mount Vernon's [player_tooltip player_id='1321274' first='Chase' last='White'] just missed the cut, but will be an intriguing Quarterback to watch this fall. [player_tooltip player_id='1229592' first='Carson' last='Miller'] is arguably the favorite. The Rye Senior tossed 24 touchdowns with just 6 interceptions during his Junior Season. With a target like Harvard Commit [player_tooltip player_id='1529592' first='Henry' last='Shoemaker'], it is easy to see him as a threat. Dedvukaj is the only Junior in my top five. He reclassified to 2027 and ranked among the top QB's in the state during his time in the 2026 class. [player_tooltip player_id='1720765' first='Chase' last='Perini'] lead the North Rockland offense to a Section Championship. He returns depth at skill positions with ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1650979' first='Amari' last='Occena'], and RB [player_tooltip player_id='939852' first='Jace' last='Harrison']. Look for him to star this season. [player_tooltip player_id='1624553' first='TJ' last='Lanese'] lead Pearl River to an impressive season which included a rivalry win over Tappan Zee. The Senior Pirate, tossed 9 touchdowns in 9 games with over 1,100 yards, [player_tooltip player_id='1742325' first='Connor' last='Brice'] is an excellent athlete who can breakout and takedown all the QB's in the Section, he is a dark horse.

Best QB Prediction: [player_tooltip player_id='1229592' first='Carson' last='Miller'] (Rye)

I predict Rye's [player_tooltip player_id='1229592' first='Carson' last='Miller'] will be the best QB in Section One this fall. The duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1529592' first='Henry' last='Shoemaker'] and himself is too much for opposing defenses to handle, and like last year, he will impress on tape and the stat sheet.

He is also an impressive athlete who can escape the pocket and create gains, which in return opens up a deadly passing game.

Best RB Top 4: [player_tooltip player_id='747186' first='Andre' last='Tarrant'](Putnam Valley), [player_tooltip player_id='644579' first='David' last='Hundzynski'](Pleasantville), [player_tooltip player_id='1345190' first='Nate' last='Mitchell'](Somers), [player_tooltip player_id='402254' first='Brayden' last='Richardson'](Sleepy Hollow)

Rye's [player_tooltip player_id='1257859' first='Charlie' last='Garnett'] is an honorable mention, as he creates a 1,2,3 punch with [player_tooltip player_id='1229592' first='Carson' last='Miller'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1529592' first='Henry' last='Shoemaker'] this season. [player_tooltip player_id='747186' first='Andre' last='Tarrant'] put up over 700 yards, with five touchdowns as a Junior. I expect his role to increase this year and he can easily be an 1,000 yard rusher. [player_tooltip player_id='644579' first='David' last='Hundzynski'] from Pleasantville, was limited due to injury last year, but he is a multi sport athlete who plays lacrosse and is committed to Binghamton. He is fun to watch. [player_tooltip player_id='1345190' first='Nate' last='Mitchell'] from Somers has contributed on a team who has won 27 straight games. He will be a major contributor as Somers attempts four straight titles. [player_tooltip player_id='402254' first='Brayden' last='Richardson'], lists mainly as an ATH, but he is an excellent ball carrier. He is a dark horse candidate for the Section's top back.

Best RB Prediction: [player_tooltip player_id='1345190' first='Nate' last='Mitchell'] (Somers)

Somers is going for a Fourth straight State Championship. The Tuskers have an excellent roster with depth at every position including a star RB. Mitchell is an outstanding back who displays good vision, along with excellent body control. He can easily find gaps and escape for big gains.

I see Somers competing for another state title this season. Having one of the top backs in the state will help them tremendously.

Best Receiver Top 4: [player_tooltip player_id='1529592' first='Henry' last='Shoemaker'](Rye), [player_tooltip player_id='1206376' first='Dean' last='Palazzolo'](Somers), Tyler Galente(Yorktown), [player_tooltip player_id='1260105' first='Walker' last='Moore'](Bronxsville)

Mahopac TE [player_tooltip player_id='1607582' first='Matthew' last='Dugan'], New Rochelle WR [player_tooltip player_id='1506349' first='Jace' last='Stephenson'], and John Jay Cross River WR [player_tooltip player_id='1344696' first='Patrick' last='Ryan'] are all honorable mentions and names to watch. Rye's [player_tooltip player_id='1529592' first='Henry' last='Shoemaker'] has been mentioned a lot in this article. He is a cornerstone for this Rye offense. He is a Harvard commit who plays basketball and lacrosse, with skills from all three showcased on the football field. Palazzolo has helped Somers win 27 straight games. He had over 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns as a Junior. Tyler Galente is a shifty route runner who carves across the field making him hard to tackle and easy nominee for this award. [player_tooltip player_id='1260105' first='Walker' last='Moore'] is the top TE in the state and an easy target, allowing him to make this list.

Best Receiver Prediction: [player_tooltip player_id='1529592' first='Henry' last='Shoemaker'] (Rye)

Shoemaker and Palazzolo can both win this award. I give the edge to Shoemaker, given his frame. He stands at 6'5" 200-Pounds which makes him an easy target for any QB.

Shoemaker displays long speed paired with length and a high football IQ. His 6'5″ frame makes him a 50/50 ball threat. He projects best as an outside receiver given his frame. Adding some weight could see him line up in Y-TE formations at times. Vertical routs are a strong trait for him as the speed and build combination make him an elite threat.

Best Offensive Lineman Top 3: [player_tooltip player_id='1344725' first='Abelardo' last='Hernandez'](Mamaroneck), [player_tooltip player_id='939576' first='Damarius' last='Jones'](Nyack), [player_tooltip player_id='1294922' first='Lawrence' last='Iyalekhue'](Yonkers Force)

Lineman are weak spot for Section One in 2026 but there are a few standouts. [player_tooltip player_id='1344725' first='Abelardo' last='Hernandez'] from Mamaroneck is a massive player who towers over defenders and hold down the line. [player_tooltip player_id='939576' first='Damarius' last='Jones'] is a dark horse candidate, as film is limited but his frame is built for him to succeed. [player_tooltip player_id='1294922' first='Lawrence' last='Iyalekhue'] is the top OL in the state and he hails from Section One. The Yonkers Force prospect has an impressive tape.

Best Receiver Prediction: [player_tooltip player_id='1294922' first='Lawrence' last='Iyalekhue'](Yonkers Force)

Standing at 6'9" 330-Pounds there is no denying how impressive his frame is. He is a man amongst boys on the football field and towers over opposing defensive lineman.

Standing at 330-Pounds, he still has room to grow making him an even more impressive prospect. He is a raw athlete who can become stronger. His ceiling has no limits and seeing him on the field would result in an instant forfeit from any team I coach
