Preseason All-State Football Team of SoDak Hoopers

Prep Network is a fan of multi-sport athletes. This article combines football players and basketball players. Only a 2028 but is projected to be the starting QB and the man of the future. Grant has D1 written all over him. Ranked #2 in Prep Redzone and the #1 QB. Curently ranked #7 on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB - </strong>[player_tooltip player_id='825396' first='Alec' last='Austin'] of Centerville. 1 game under .500 last year but that should change this season. Austin is the #1 ranked QB in the 2026 class and 13th overall prospect. Currently not ranked on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB -</strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1263883' first='Brody' last='Schafer'] of Sioux Falls Lincoln. 2027 #4 ranked player and the top QB in the class. Lincoln won it all last year in AAA. Brody will win many games again this season. It looks like he is receiving D2 interest. Currently on the Watch List on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>QB -</strong> [player_tooltip player_id='902661' first='Brady' last='Schroedermeier'] of Viborg-Hurley. 24th ranked player and the #3 QB. Brady is a nice-sized QB at 6'2" with a strong arm. Expect big numbers this season. He is getting a fair share of college interest. Currently ranked #33 on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>RB -</strong> [player_tooltip player_id='1422350' first='Jace' last='Mohr'] of Wall. Ranked #66 and the 7th best RB but he deserves attention. The Eagles went 10-1 last season on took 2nd at State. Wall will be great again and Mohr will be big part of that success. Currently ranked #106 on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR - </strong>[player_tooltip player_id='563996' first='Jhace' last='Woods'] of Sioux Falls Washington. Ranked #5 and #2 WR. Committed to SDSU. Will miss the early part of the season while recovering from an injury but he will be back. XXL large hands, freak athlete with 44 inch vert, monster catch radius, precise route runner. Currently on the Watch List on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR -</strong> [player_tooltip player_id='929916' first='Isaak' last='Hunter'] of Miller. Ranked #39 in the 2026 class and is the #6 WR. Hunter is a long and athletic wideout who caught 10 TD's last season. Expect another productive season from Isaak. Hunter is getting a good amount of college interest. Currently ranked #41 on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>WR -</strong> [player_tooltip player_id='1212272' first='Drake' last='Mikkelsen'] of Lennox. Ranked #2 in the 2027 class and the #1 WR. At 6'5" and a ridiculous athlete, Drake is a tough cover for any team. He has Division 1 potential. Currently ranked #29 on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>TE - </strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1475610' first='Colby' last='Flowers'] of WWSSC (Wessington Springs). Flowers is ranked #23 in the 2026 class and the #3 TE/WR. He is a big and physical playmaker who packs a punch. Flowers certainly has the talent to play at the next level. Ranked #1 in the 2027 class. He has offers from all over the country and from some of the best programs in the nation. Massive player with good feet. Wilkinson is committed to SDSU. At 6'3" and 230 .lbs, Konrad is ranked #19 in his class. Brenner is a playmaker on the gridiron who plays all over the field at TB/TE/DE. He certainly is a difference maker. He is ranked #9 in his class. He is on here as DL but is also a talented TE. It looks like Austin is getting a large amount of interest from college programs. He is ranked #11 in the 2026 class. Great length. Squires stars on both sides of the ball. Tobin is garnering a good amount of interest from college programs. Currently on the Watch List on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>LB - </strong>[player_tooltip player_id='929922' first='Lars' last='Kieffer'] of Rapid City Christian. He is on the Watchlist for the Prep Redzone rankings. I have heard that Lars is a heck of a good football player and the Kieffer's are also tough kids. Currently on the Watch List on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>LB - </strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1293175' first='Sully' last='Kieffer'] of Rapid City Christian. We have another tough Kieffer! He is currently on the Watchlist for the rankings. Sully is a quality athlete and a playmaker. He stands on as a receiver and linebacker. He is the 14th ranked player in the Prep Redzone rankings. Elliot is a big, strong, and athletic. No surprise here that DeJong is a stud football player. Currently ranked #36 on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DB -</strong> [player_tooltip player_id='848985' first='Malachi' last='James'] of Beresford. Ranked #87 in the 2026 class. Chi is a mobile, impressive, and raw athlete. Nobody works harder than James, he is also a star WR He is committed to SMSU. Currently on the Watchlist on Prep Hoops, that will be changing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DB - </strong>[player_tooltip player_id='402517' first='Dveyoun' last='Bonwell-Witte'] of Sioux Falls Washington. He is ranked as a WR but I heard he could play safety and wanted to include him in the article. Either way, he will be a ball hawk on both sides of the ball. Ranked #3 and the #1 WR in the 2026 class. Washington has the best receiving core in the state, hands down. Dveyoun is a big WR at 6'2" with speed and quickness. Committed to Nebraska. Currently not ranked on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DB -</strong> [player_tooltip player_id='1625460' first='Teelan' last='Kjerstad'] of Wall. He is the 23rd ranked prospect in the Prep Redzone 2027 rankings. The Eagles finished last season with a 10-1 record, they will be loaded again. Kjerstad is a major ball on both O &amp; D. Currently ranked #26 on Prep Hoops.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>DB - </strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1289261' first='Kade' last='Vavruska'] of Spearfish. This Spartan is ranked #11 in the 2027 class. Kade is a standout WR &amp; Safety. He has gameday invites to Wyoming and SDSU. The West River kid is the real deal.
