The one thing I have really liked about the last couple quarterbacks out of Tea Area is their athleticism they have to play on both sides of the ball, which is the case with QB3 Mitch Grant Mitch Grant 6'3" | 120 lbs | QB Tea Area | 2028 State SD , who already has a D1 offer from South Dakota State. He has been a tough one to tackle with the use of his legs and the durability he has at his disposal after contact. Mitch shows you quickly that he can get out of a jam with his legs and still make excellent throws downfield after facing duress like he did last week against a much-imprroved Mitchell team. He’s also one out of this top five for sure, that I feel could play on either side of the ball at the next-level with how well-versed his position flexibility is. A three-level passer with a lot of poise in and outside of the pocket and is one that I could see movement in the 2028 QB group out of the Mount Rushmore State.

Football: Perfect 3-0 record. We don’t have his exact stats, but Grant is putting up points, running and throwing touchdowns. Mitch is off to a great start and the Titans are undefeated. Last week vs. Watertown, Grant went for 141 yards passing, 118 yards rushing, and 4 touchdowns. He also had 7 tackles as a two-way player.

Basketball: Grant is a major matchup problem with his D1 athleticism. Dynamic slasher and playmaker. Tea will be one of the best in AA and Mitch will be the catalyst.

The Titans took down Mitchell on Friday night 26-20 and Grant scored the game-winning TD in overtime! Mitch ran for 90 yards, 2 TD’s, he also threw for 86 yards. Grant and the Titans are a scary squad. In hoops, Mitch has loads and loads of potential with athleticism and dynamic playmaking ability. He will be high on PHD’s watchlist this winter.

Mitch is a 2028 quarterback that has proved quickly this season why we have him graded as the QB1 in this South Dakota 2028 class. The 6’3 180 pounder was a gamechanger with his legs and arm talent against Aberdeen Central in Tea Area’s 25-7 win. It’s clear when you watch the tape from Mitch that this young man is operating at a quicker speed in his sophomore season and you can see it with not just his quicker release but how instinctive he looks especially out of RPO looks. With that instinctiveness, comes more clear-cut vision out of inside box to escape into the open field especially last week against Aberdeen. Mitch will be one I will continue to track throughout the 2025 season, but is off to a hot start for the 2nd ranked Titans.
