Devyn we haved rated as our QB1 in the 2029 South Dakota class and watching his live eval at the USF Prospect Camp under the Friday night lights at Bob Young Field, told us why. He showed off the growing arm mechanics that are already blossoming entering his sophomore year at Tea Area and was another quarterback that I felt the progression in the more I watched his reps elevated from start to end of camp at the Coo. I would also say that out of the entire group of QBs in attendance, Devyn would rate in my top-tier regardless of class as I liked how his ball placement porgressed. The 5’10 190 pounder also boosts more athletic traits that we identified in testing with a 2.82 20-yard sprint, 4.56 pro agility and a 30′ vertical.

also of Tea Area and claiming the #6 overall spot in South Dakota. If you want to talk about a QB battle between QB1 and QB2 when deciding this class, we had one. Devyn’s qucik processing with his reads is where he stood out as the top QB in this 2029 class, as one source stated “Devyn is playing above his years, as far as his football IQ.” He also has some of the better mobility that this class has to offer as he posted some intriguing numbers for his age at the NDSU prospect camp in June.
