Every one of his five catches on the night can be seen above. 110 yards and three scores against a talented secondary at CB South. I'll get more into his ranking boost and how wrong I was about Montgomery toward the end of the piece. Safe to say he's trending in the right direction. Scored via two different QBs throwing him the rock. Scored via all three levels of the field. Montgomery left a lasting impression, more than any participant present Friday night.

[player_tooltip player_id='1624009' first='Gavin' last='Graham'] is in line for a ranking boost after this performance. I'll go into further detail toward the end of the article. Above is a cut-up of several fantastic runs put forth by CB South backs [player_tooltip player_id='1624009' first='Gavin' last='Graham'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1584160' first='Braylen' last='Cape'], with a sprinkle of QB sweeps and inside runs from unranked prospect Cade Crim. You can see big Shea Fullerton opening up holes in this one, too. Graham scored twice in the video above, one was called back for a hold. Cape and Crim also scored. Three prospects shown above will be mentioned below.

Above is a complete showcase of positive reps out of the new look Archbishop Wood offense. [player_tooltip player_id='1282115' first='Jack' last='Drakeley'], [player_tooltip player_id='1506871' first='Trey' last='Smith'], [player_tooltip player_id='1656966' first='Kenny' last='Montgomery'], [player_tooltip player_id='1181647' first='David' last='Robbins'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1624086' first='David' last='Melcher'] are all included. I'll speak more about Drakeley and Melcher below. I'll take the time to highlight former PRZ WR MVP [player_tooltip player_id='1506871' first='Trey' last='Smith'] here. The fourth-best senior receiver in all of Pennsylvania played like it Friday night. Demanding a double-team, demanding safety rotation, reeling in balls at all three levels of the field. Smith did it all. Bubble screens at the LOS gave Smith the chance to show off his YAC ability, an underrated part of his game considering his size/length. Smith caught several balls feet outside of his numbers, proving he has the catch radius and strong hands to vacuum in balls away from his frame. He stretched CB South vertically. Smith looked like an FBS player, a man amongst boys. Have to show [player_tooltip player_id='1181647' first='David' last='Robbins'] some love, too. Two-way starter who can get dirty and block at the LOS while chasing down ball carriers at his LB spot. He can also catch the football as we know, you can see his late 2nd-half score in the video above.

Was an all-around effort from all Archbishop Wood defenders. CB South's run game is potent, no one or two players can limit the ground attack. That being said, I wanted to highlight two unranked prospects for their individual performances this past Friday night. Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1352827' first='Patrick' last='Caracciolo'], a WL senior coming off a serious knee injury, and DB/LB [player_tooltip player_id='1853131' first='Billy' last='Davis']. A shame I don't have both ranked on our site, that'll change with more performances like this one. You can see #3 and #32 fly to the football in several reps above. I'll talk more about them below.

I have no problem telling the world how wrong I am/was about a kid. We are one week in, yet if Archbishop Wood's [player_tooltip player_id='1656966' first='Kenny' last='Montgomery'] keeps producing even half as much as he did Friday night, there is no way PSAC schools recruiting Eastern PA Football won't take him. Due to a lack of tape, Montgomery was practically ranked as a D3 longshot. After seeing him make kids miss in the open field, after watching him track the football well downfield, I have no problem elevating that grade to a mid-D2 level grade. A massive jump in line for a hard working young man who saw said hard work bear fruit this past weekend. I wish him nothing but the best of luck moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='1624009' first='Gavin' last='Graham'] was already ranked modestly well, inside the D2 threshold. That's primarily because I saw him as a defender. Watching him tote the rock for CB South with authority, seeing his build up close, I'm ready to say Graham should be a priority recruit for D2s recruiting Eastern PA ball. As a 2027, he still has every opportunity in the world to rise into the Top 250, this usually reserved for D1 graded prospects. Graham is inching closer and closer to breaking through that ceiling.

Big #44 Jack Bartolillo was an animal on defense for CB South. A real shame I don't have him ranked on our site. 5'10, 220 pounds. Earned 2nd-Team All-League honors as the MIKE backer in this defense last Fall. Fantastic understanding of offensive flow. Several times Wood players would shake DBs loose on the boundary, only for 44 to come out of nowhere to clean up what would be huge gains downfield. An authoritative presence who made his pads heard from the sidelines. Great motor, great effort player. Unranked, yet he's easily a LB I'd send to Kutztown or ESU coaches. Not the tallest but doesn't need to be. Physique proves he's a fantastic weight room guy. Easily a Top 400 player.

Not sure how I don't have a 6'7 behemoth of a senior on our rankings. Talking about CB South OL Shea Fullerton. It might be due to a lack of tape, yet I saw Fullerton spring open some great runs for Cape and Graham. I believe he can provide some two-way reps at the HS level, for sure a tackle prospect at the D2/D3 level IMO. He's likely a 300+ OL, one who brought energy to this football game.

Archbishop Wood's [player_tooltip player_id='1352827' first='Patrick' last='Caracciolo'] impressed in what I believe is his first game back from a serious ACL tear. Congrats to him for not only making back on the field, but looking damn good too. Registered the first three tackles for Wood in what would result in a three-and-out, can check that sequence out above. Likely could play TE for AW if need be. Self reports a 4.47 GPA. 6'0, 210. Earned a D2 grade from myself, will hold that type of ranking so long as the tackles keep coming on tape. Wiberley, Robbins, and Caracciolo are quite the trio of backers Wood gets to work with.

After watching back the reps I recorded, #32 kept coming up on screen after providing huge stops all over the field. He's unranked, but won't be for long. Bill Davis is a senior who is willing to provide whatever role coaches give him. 4.95 GPA, can long snap, can play inside or outside the box regardless of the fact that he's relatively small in terms of build. Projecting him to the next level is tough, yet I can't help but applaud his huge performance this past Friday. TFLs, clutch stops, a sack registered off the edge, huge game for the unranked DB/LB.

I have touted [player_tooltip player_id='1282115' first='Jack' last='Drakeley']'s name for what seams like eternity, this without substantial tape to be had. I've seen him in 7v7 settings, I've seen him look the part in camp settings too. I even ranked him inside the Top 100, with performances like Friday night's in mind. Drakeley, in what was his first career start, threw four touchdown passes in the first half of the football game. These weren't gimme-scores, either. A 3rd and 14 out route to [player_tooltip player_id='1656966' first='Kenny' last='Montgomery'] was thrown in rhythm and on time, enough for Montgomery to make others miss and go for a score. A 2-minute drill before halftime to score, again proving that this young man is built for the position. I included two incompletions in his cut-up above, both of those throws were arguably my favorite, both of which I sent to FBS coaches during the game. Drakeley took hits in the pocket while not having said hits affect his accuracy negatively. Drakeley was witnessed hitting outside shoulder seam balls, opposite hash screens, hole shots, you name it. I couldn't be more impressed. Drakeley missed the majority of the second half due to cramping issues. To rank inside the Top 100 is already a huge feat, moving up is tough to do. That being said, I'd still consider elevating him if this is what his tape is going to look like. He and Rutgers commit [player_tooltip player_id='402474' first='Xavier' last='Stearn'] share similar, not identical games. I think the two could see a similar route to recruitment too, I preach patience.

Was not expecting to see former Lansdale Catholic QB/ATH [player_tooltip player_id='1624086' first='David' last='Melcher'] look as good as he did this past Friday. Had Melcher not enter the football game as confident as he was, there's a real chance that CB South ends up winning this football game. Momentum shifted when Drakeley had to leave the game, only for Melcher to pull some zone-reads, one of which went 50+ yards for a score in what was a back-breaking momentum breaker in favor of AB Wood. Melcher would continue to apply pressure on the ground, this until he delivered another back-breaking score through the air in the fourth quarter of this football game. Coaches at Wood have to be through the roof at the thought of these two working together. Melcher will see a boost because of his impromptu performance.

I'm unsure where senior ATH Cade Crim will fall on our rankings this Fall, yet I know he'll be on there in some shape or form after watching him work this past Friday night. A great change of pace from the QB after dishing the rock to Cape and Graham often. Tough to figure out his next-level position right now. I'll stash his name for further evaluation.
