The most exciting takeaway of the trip out to SCH. I brag about knowing the ins and outs of all things Inter-Ac ball, yet I was surprised to see an underclassman perform so well, especially one I was unfamiliar with. 6'0, 190 pounds, a frame built like a backer, yet one that can beat DB angle down the sideline after reaching the second-level. Vision is there, kid has an understanding of pacing, how to set up his blocks. A 2028 with a build like this, It's understandable why I'd leave the venue excited to send his name out to coaches. Proving his speed in a camp setting would do wonders for his stock. For now, serving his role on this SCH offense and putting good tape on Hudl should be the priority. Love that he can maintain speed and momentum even after cutting laterally.

Smooth operator. Clark had his trademark stride opened up for all to see Friday afternoon. He woke up Pennington DBs just two or three plays in, burning past players for an easy link-up downfield via [player_tooltip player_id='1132647' first='Liam' last='Zelman']. You can see every catch out of the Buffalo commit above.

The top-ranked prospect among 2028 NJ recruits was suited up for the Friday afternoon scrimmage. Brown's first rep in the clip above proves the type of competitor he is, a tone-setting back who was frustrated when things didn't go his way. I'm aware of the talent Brown brings to the field, not much he can do will surprise me at this point. I'm more impressed by his attitude, confidence, and presence in the huddle. I'll be seeing him again this Fall.

Always worth a trip out seeing 6'4, 210-pound [player_tooltip player_id='510788' first='Cannon' last='Benzio']. There's no doubting his talent and recruiting ceiling, he'll just have to do what he can to consistently put throws like the one above up on Hudl, week in and week out. Great accuracy and mechanics on this rollout. More of this.

Will be tough to figure out who is who, as the Pennington defense didn't have #s on their backs. You can see who I believe to be [player_tooltip player_id='1213095' first='Nisaiah' last='Maldonado'] clog up lanes when SCH attempted to run between the tackles. Freshman Julius Odenthal, who stands at a whopping 6'5, 270, made plays on both sides of the ball and is also likely featured in the cut-up above. The Pennington defense picked off two SCH passes you can see above as well, both coming from flat defenders. Buffalo commit [player_tooltip player_id='1642047' first='Bryce' last='Williams'] looked clean as usual.

I mention 2026 LB [player_tooltip player_id='386279' first='Harry' last='Kull'] in a bit more detail below, you can see him pick off a Benzio pass in the last rep of the clip above. Impressed with [player_tooltip player_id='1180764' first='Isaiah' last='Moore'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1593356' first='Joe' last='Flach'] holding down the boundaries at corner. I'm hardly surprised seeing the duo make things difficult for the Pennington passing attack. Moore was close to grabbing an interception 40+ yards downfield. I hope to learn more about backers #9 and #5. It's likely I already know who these two young men are, yet not sure if scrimmage #s line up with previous years #s. Both OLBs played well, you can see both show good reps above. I'll get their names in time. [player_tooltip player_id='1156100' first='Sadiek' last='Willis'] was as advertised, had one or two run stuffs shown above, not including what would have been a sack on the redshirt in this one.

***I do not rank Pennington School prospects, all notes I have will be sent to our New Jersey lead.

This was a 10 x 10 formatted scrimmage that was over relatively quickly, I don't want to overreact to performances in a setting like this one too much, yet I do feel as though I learned a few things worth noting about the two prospects above. One is about [player_tooltip player_id='386279' first='Harry' last='Kull'], a prospect who has steadily climbed our ranks thanks to more in-person evaluations. Again, Kull impressed me. I know he can stuff the run, I know he can meet up with any back in the state between the tackles and win. My one major knock was knowing whether or not Kull can be utilized in space, can he be trusted to drop into zones outside the box and make an impact? He proved he could in this scrimmage, coming away with an interception far off the LOS on top of making corners route windows tight in pass coverage. He'll see a boost if he keeps that up on tape.

Will Howard created some serious buzz after the performance against Pennington's starting defense. Again, I don't want to overreact too much, still have a ways to go in terms of generating real interest in the recruiting world, yet I have to give credit when it's due. Howard was a complete unknown, he'll have a profile created and will likely land relatively high on our 2028 board, so long as he continues moving how he did this past Friday. Size checked out, witnessed him outrun several talented DBs in space. Excited to get him on our site.
