Cornerbacks with versatility are a plus to any defense. With Bryce Williams Bryce Williams 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Pennington | 2026 State NJ ‘ ability to play either slot or outside, he allows Pennington the versatility to either scheme up or match up. An excellent run supporter, the tape shows us that Williams uses his hands to shed and actively make tackles. In terms of covering, he closes in on routes very quickly, eliminating any separation, but manages to avoid contact so he has a shot to play the ball rather than the defender; however, make no mistake about it – Williams will use his body to bust plays up too. A disciplined player, Williams stays in position to do his job, and only his job. Lastly, Williams has shown strong high pointing skills and strong hands, as well as spending time at safety – which is where I suspect he will play in college.

The more prospects I see from The Pennington School, the more I start to like them. Add Bryce Williams Bryce Williams 6'0" | 175 lbs | DB Pennington | 2026 State NJ to that list. Williams is a strong run supporter who gets down hill in a hurry from his safety position – like, really well. Versatility is also on the table when Williams is on your team, as he has showcased himself as a handsy press cover. Williams might have played defensive line earlier on in his career based on the propensity of hand usage. When he is walked down near the line of scrimmage, we see him use them to create separation from offensive linemen; this, additionally, would indicate that he might have long arms. Last thing hands-related: he uses them exclusively to catch the ball Lastly, when opportunities to form fit tackle present themselves, he seizes them.
