Bessinger had a fantastic Junior season, and he looks to top that season, not only statistically but he will be part of the hopes of Davis to play for the 6A state title. Bessinger has great size, has the pocket presence, the navigation within the pocket to avoid the pressure, and can move the chains with his legs. His arm talent is tremendous, and he has a big arm and does a good job of making off-platform plays. He'll face a Brighton defense that is aggressive and ball hawks; it'll be interesting to see how soon he'll test that secondary.

Sparrow is one of the best two-way players in the state, no matter the class. He is an exceptional receiver who has a knack for getting open and is slippery in the open field. He is a fluid route runner and effortless. It'll be interesting to see if Brighton shades coverage towards his side and make the other receivers beat them.

Baggett might be the benficiary of shaded coverage towards Bode as Baggett is a twitchy receiver who is tough to keep covered in the open field. He can win at all three levels and is good with the ball in his hands where he can create.

Itaaehau is a defensive nightmare, and he might be the key to the game if Brighton tries to shade coverage towards where Bode is. Itaawhau is a player who will decimate a defense as he can line up anywhere and is a mismatch nightmare. He's a two-way player that can impact the game on both sides.

Hasson is an exceptional interior lineman, and he'll be tasked with keeping some high-end defensive linemen in front of him. Brighton rotates a good bunch of defensive linemen who have good size and strength. Hasson's play and holding up that defensive front will help Davis a long way to earning a tough road win. He'll be a key player to watch.

Clark will be a key player in the game.
Palepoi is ready to break out. He's had a great offseason and is someone who caught my eye at every showcase and every 7's event. He'll be tasked to lead Brighton against a stout David defense. They are an aggressive secondary, and Palepoi will be able to showcase his good arm talent as he has good ball placement, will stress a defense with deep balls, and does well extending plays and biding additional time. When he scrambles, the defense breaks down, and Palepoi does a good job of reading the field and finding the open receiver. He should have a good showing against a tough Davis defense.

There are over 340 carries vacated in this offense, and Naweli should consume a good chunk. As a freshman, he showed that the moment wasn't too big for him. He's added on some good weight this offseason and that strength and conditioning program has him ready to take on a bigger workload. It'll be interesting to see the carries split with him, he's a player to keep an eye on.

Evans comes in from Idaho, and he's had a productive offseason. He's done well at camps and at 7's events. He's built a good rapport with Palepoi and will be a key playmaker. The Davis cornerbacks are athletic, but don't have the size to match up. He should feast on contested targets and in the red zone against Davis. This will be his coming-out party in the Utah classification. A big year is ahead for him.

Gustafson is a twitchy receiver who can be lined up at the boundary or in the slot. He moves well, has good speed, and could be a key target to move the chains and spread the field as a deep threat to give the offense good spacing. All Brighton needs to do is just throw it deep to him a couple of times, and that will keep the Davis safeties honest, and they can focus on the run to even out the game and slow it down. He'll be a player to watch as he brings a different dynamic to the offense.
