Bode was exceptional on both sides of the ball. He is an excellent athlete. His pristine footwork, closing speed, acceleration, and phenomenal ball tracking skills make him deadly when he is on the field. He’s a P4 starting talent on either side of the ball. He was as advertised. Strong hands, great anticipation, and feel for the game. Elite prospect.

Bode arguably had the grab of the event on day two in the endzone with a one-hander to help lead his team to a win. He virtually played every snap, including when he cleats blew out; he taped it up and came back out. He’s an elite talent and a premier two-way player. He was making plays on both sides of the ball during the event and showcased great range, speed, and athleticism. It was fun to watch him.

Sparrow’s future is at Wide Receiver, but he is an exceptional defensive back and he came away with another interception on Friday night. He is instinctive, has great hip fluidity, anticipates well, has good range and acceleration. He’ll be a nightmare on both sides of the ball.

Sparrow scored touchdowns on both sides of the ball last week. He is an exceptional athlete, and a potential matchup against him and Salesi for the entire night is intoxicating. Sparrow always finds a way to get open and make plays, no matter who is covering him when he is a receiver. He’s an exceptional athlete, and uses great footwork and route running to get open, and he is a nuanced receiver who understands tempo, spacing, and attacking at the stem. Defensively, he has great range, moves well laterally, and has great hip fluidity that allows him to move exceptionally well, and he has great closing speed and will make a play on the ball.

Sparrow had himself a day, with a receiving touchdown and a pick 6. On offense, he continuously got open and displayed great footwork and twitchiness in the open field. He does everything with such ease and defensively, made impactful days throughout, and showed great anticipation and closing speed, and the range necessary to play both sides and be effective both ways.

Sparrow is one of the best two-way players in the state, no matter the class. He is an exceptional receiver who has a knack for getting open and is slippery in the open field. He is a fluid route runner and effortless. It’ll be interesting to see if Brighton shades coverage towards his side and make the other receivers beat them.

I keep saying if Sparrow focused solely on defense, he would be an elite defensive back, and even though his future is at receiver, he’s our pick for Region 1 Defensive Player of the Year. He is an exceptional athlete and has great range and closing speed as a defensive back. His ball tracking and ball hawk capabilities are elite, and he very well could get 20 receiving touchdowns and 15 interceptions this season. Elite athlete.

Sparrow is an exceptional multi-sport athlete, and two way player. If he solely focused on his skills as a defensive back, I’d argue he’d be a Power-Four recruit at that position. His true calling will be at receiver, where he showcases an array of release packages and has exceptional footwork and moves well laterally, with good overall speed. Sparrow creates separation with ease and is strong at the catch point. He does an excellent job creating on his own and after the catch. He is primed for a big year and is a bonafide stud.
