4A Risers to Know

Let's take a look at some risers in the 4A classification.    Levi has done a tremendous job this year and has a full understanding of the playbook and which allows him to be calm under pressure. He gets to his second read, will manipulate a safety, throws with good anticipation, and will keep the offense in a rhythem and a good flow state. He's been efficient and does a good job and stressing the defense when he needs to, and will work the entire field. He's primed to continue his hot streak in region play.     Larsen has evolved his game from last year to this year. He's a more polished signal caller who's poised in the pocket and will bide additional time if he needs to. He throws with good ball placement and does a good job of keeping the ball out of danger and limiting mistakes. He's willing to throw to intermediate to deep passes and will challenge a defense.     Tate has blossomed with the transfer, and he's a dual threat who is quick and elusive as a runner. He does a good job of looking at his first read and will get to his second. He knows that if he doesn't like what he sees, he can tuck and run to move the chains. He's done well at keeping the ball out of danger and he shows a quick delivery and is a rhythmic passer. He's poised to continue to take the necessary steps to improve his game.     Holland has good size and he's improved with every year. He's done an excellent job at processing and keeping the ball out of danger. He trusts his eyes and will now stay away from the dangerous passes and tight windows that aren't in his favor. He uses his frame to survey the field, and he's done a good job at keeping the offense ahead of the chains and coming up big when the offense needs him.     Deacon had offseason surgery, which slowed his offseason, but from the early offseason when I've seen him at combine events to private training sessions with 3DQB, to the College camps, he's improved every time I've seen him. His mechanics are much tighter, and he takes coaching to heart, honing his craft. He throws a good deep ball, and his velocity has seen an uptick. He's a player who will only get better with more reps; he's a player to keep tabs on. He has prototypical size and has a frame that can put on 30+ lbs.     Dailey is an efficient runner and shows good vision and has the hip fluidity to make defenders miss in a phone booth. He does a good job finishing off his runs and he is a player that is a three-down back. He will lower his pads and finish off his runs. Lots to like.     Eardley has made the most of his opportunities. He's a runner that shows good functional strength, can fight through contact, will work to get to the second level, and shows good short-area burst. He is good in short-yardage situations and will lower his pads and welcomes contact.     Stafford is a twitchy athlete who has excelled in a variety of roles. He has a background as a quarterback and can be positioned in the backfield, and as a receiver. His home will be the slot where he can use the free release and can be slippery in the open field. His short area burst and creativity in the open field has unlocked his talents as a receiver. He'll work the short to intermediate routes and has opened up the playbook for the offense. There's a lot to like with him operating out of the slot.     Holt is a receiver that I appreciate. He does everything right and he's where he's supposed to be when running routes. He can win at all three levels, and he rises to the occasion. He has good lateral quickness, is slippery in the open field, and showcases good hip sink. He's a playmaker and can be lined up out wide or in the slot. His versatility allows him to stay on the field, no matter the play call.    Those are some 4A risers to know.
