Week 4 Preview: Riverton at Herriman

Let's take a look at two upstart programs that will look to continue their winning ways.   Riverton    Xander is a dual threat quarterback and his threat to take off, does enough to freeze linebackers and allows him better throwing windows. He'll look to continue his progression against Herriman.     Rocky is the leading rusher in the team and does well getting the physical yards and getting through the first line. He has good vision and is a player with a good frame.     Wall has been a big play receiver who does well with the ball in his hands and creating after the catch. He'll look to create against a stingy Herriman defense.     Tafisi has been a key target in high leverage situations and is a player with good size and catch radius. He'll work the middle and showcases strong hands.     Bennett is a good mover and does well creating late separation, he'll be part of the wideouts that will be looking to make big plays.     Kyler has been an excellent, active backer with good instincts. He shows good physicality and his style of play compliments what Riverton wants to do. He'll be needed to stop the Herriman attack.     Pati is an exciting on-ball backer with good instincts. He does a good job of shedding his blocks and shows good quickness. His pursuit is good and he is best as an attacking backer.     Vakauta has done an excellent job creating pressure this year. He is good off the line and has the hand fighting to thwart his lineman and continue his pursuit. He'll likely need to be chipped or doubled to be contained and Herriman should have eyes on him.    Herriman    Tyler has done a good job operating within the structure of the offense and when the play breaks down, takes off to move the chains. With his threat on the ground, it makes opposing defenses have to be wary of him with his arm and legs. As a passer, he's been good at limiting mistakes or throwing it into danger. If he plays another mistake free game, that'll go a long way in beating Riverton.     Larson has done well transferring in and has made the most of his opportunities. He's a twitchy athlete that does well in the system they employ. He'll look to lead the running backs against a tough Riverton defense.     Tate has done well with the touches he's had. He does well creating on his own and using his speed to create separation.     Hansen has been an effective blocker and shows good physicality. When given chances, he does well with contested catches.     Kemper has been an excellent defensive lineman and the best player on the team. He has good size, shows good quickness, and is a player that is too athletic for most opposing lineman. He's a D1 recruit.     Kingston has been an excellent EDGE rusher and part of the reason why the Herriman defense has been so effective. He's been good at disengaging from his blocks and showcasing his quick burst to get to the ball carrier. The front four of Herriman is excellent, and he is a big part of the reason.     Troy is a ball hawking defensive back and showcases good range and closing speed. He does well disrupting passing lanes and is a player that will eliminate big plays from developing.     Parker has been an effective, attacking backer. He'll be needed to stop the middle of the field from being exploited and to help aide in the pass rush. His duality makes him a key piece of the Herriman defense.    That was our look at the Riverton at Herriman matchup.
