Larsen has evolved his game from last year to this year. He’s a more polished signal caller who’s poised in the pocket and will bide additional time if he needs to. He throws with good ball placement and does a good job of keeping the ball out of danger and limiting mistakes. He’s willing to throw to intermediate to deep passes and will challenge a defense.
Larsen returns under center to help lead the Mustang’s offense this season. Has a slow wind up delivery that gives the ball a tight spiral with speed. Has the arm strength to deliver the ball downfield and throw towards the sidelines. Accuracy and anticipation to hit his targets. Mobility to move around the pocket, scramble and throw on the run. A duel threat QB with experience to lead the Mustangs passing attack.
Larsen is a signal caller who is best as a tempo thrower, where he can take his 3-5 step drops and get the ball out on time. He will climb the pocket and will bide additional time and showcasing good mobility within the pocket. As a thrower, he has good ball placement and has a nice touch on his deep passes, and gets good air under the ball so his receiver can run under it. Larsen does throw with anticipation and will throw his receiver open. He isn’t categorized as a dual-threat quarterback, but he can move the chains with his legs.
