Deacon gets better every time I see him. This is the 4th or 5th time I’ve gotten to see him throw. From private sessions to camps and combine settings, each time he hones his craft and becomes a more polished player. His mechanics and delivery have been a drastic improvement. He’s now able to put good velocity on his throws, and his delivery is much more compact and looks natural now. The velocity has been the next big improvement that I’ve seen. He’s improving his footwork, and he’s making huge strides in his overall game. Being coachable is one of the best traits you can have, and as someone who has seen him multiple times, I’ve seen him add more to his game each time.
Deacon has a good frame on him and should continue to add to it. He’ll have a full offseason where he is healthy and can fully train. He’s improved everytime I’ve watched him, from mechanics, to velocity to processing rate. With another year under his belt, he is primed to take the next steps.
Deacon had offseason surgery, which slowed his offseason, but from the early offseason when I’ve seen him at combine events to private training sessions with 3DQB, to the College camps, he’s improved every time I’ve seen him. His mechanics are much tighter, and he takes coaching to heart, honing his craft. He throws a good deep ball, and his velocity has seen an uptick. He’s a player who will only get better with more reps; he’s a player to keep tabs on. He has prototypical size and has a frame that can put on 30+ lbs.
I’ve seen Virgin a few times this offseason, from the Track It event to a 3DQB session and then today. He had an offseason shoulder injury, and his velocity has picked up each time I’ve seen him. His throwing motion looks much better now as well. He made some good throws on the day and is a player who will continue to improve.
