You can’t talk about risers without mentioning Tate. He had a great season and turned his game to the next level this offseason. Every time I see him, from QB training sessions to 7’s and camps, he’s continued to look better and better. His throwing motion has improved, his throwing velocity has picked up, and his processing rate and overall understanding of defenses have blossomed. He’s putting it all together, and he’s doing it at the right time. He is a signal caller who should see his recruitment pick up very soon.

There is nobody at the position in this class that has made a bigger jump than Tate. The added reps he’s taken this offseason has been fantastic for him. He throws with good ball placement, processes quickly, and can sling the ball deep. He is good with his legs and is a true dual threat. He’s a signal caller who has D1 talent, and he should put in another solid year of tape. He is someone who will play on Saturdays.

Tate has made one of the biggest jumps in overall development this offseason. He’s processing at a much better rate and has the necessary arm talent needed to dot the field and stress defenses deep. He shows pocket manipulation and is a signal caller who will bide additional time with his legs. He’s a fun player to watch and his continued development should translate to offers coming his way soon enough.

Tate plays well under chaos and the game has slowed down for him. He does a good job of extending plays and biding time for his receivers. He’ll take the deep shot to stress a defense and is deadly on the ground as well. He’s a signal caller that is primed to take the next steps and will have a full offseason to hone his craft.

Tate has blossomed with the transfer, and he’s a dual threat who is quick and elusive as a runner. He does a good job of looking at his first read and will get to his second. He knows that if he doesn’t like what he sees, he can tuck and run to move the chains. He’s done well at keeping the ball out of danger and he shows a quick delivery and is a rhythmic passer. He’s poised to continue to take the necessary steps to improve his game.

Johnson is an elusive signal-caller and an overall good athlete. As a runner, he showcases good quickness and lateral movement to make defenders miss in the open field. As a passer, Johnson has a quick delivery and processes well. He does a good job throwing on the run and keeping plays alive and extending plays by maneuvering around in the pocket. Johnson will continue to develop and grow into his frame and as a signal caller.
