Howard is replacing a 1,000-yard rusher and we expect his carries to double in 2025. More of a slasher, he's not going to put up as many explosive runs as some of the other guys, but he's also rarely getting dragged down for a minimal gain. At times, it doesn't look like he even has to run at full speed to blow by the second and third level of the defense. He holds the ball high like plenty of bigger backs of old and that goes along with his old-school running style. A two-way player, his future is at the running back position when he can bully defenders and run over players. His leg drive is impressive, but perhaps even better is that he doesn't seek out contact. After reviewing the tape again, we came away impressed with his vision and burst and believe this could be another huge year for the senior.
