10 Rising Stars in District 3 Poised for Big Years

His ability to throw the ball has gotten better each year as a quarterback. Going into his 3rd year as a starting quarterback, the game should be slowing down for him. The area of growth just needs to be accuracy in throwing the ball. He has a strong arm, but it is his lack of accuracy at times hurts him; however, I expect a huge step with him this year. The other area I saw improvement in last year was his ability to run the ball. He can tuck it and gain valuable yards when it is needed when he rushes with the ball. That is exactly who [player_tooltip player_id='1685520' first='Alex' last='Otero'] is as a player. His ability to wait for his pulling linemen, then explode through the hole, is special. He also has a great burst and quickness to make defenders miss in space. He is also a physical running back who is hard to bring down. The other thing is he has legit speed, and if he makes it to the open field, he is off to the races. He shows good strength and is a force to deal with as an offensive lineman. He is excellent as a run blocker as he fires off the ball and dominates defenders. He also shows good skills as a center as he snaps the ball well. I feel confident, though, that Suarez could play any position on the interior offensive line and possibly offensive tackle. As an offensive guard, he does a great job as a run blocker. He fires off the ball and dominates the defensive lineman. He has good strength as he can overpower defenders. He also does a great job as a combo blocker with his ability to double-team defensive linemen, then peel off to block linebackers. Last year, he was originally at Trinity, but then transferred to Harrisburg. He was the starting quarterback, but got injured and never regained the spot. This year, you see the maturity and the ability to excel as a quarterback. He is a natural thrower of the football and has great size (6'4") as well. He is a classic pocket quarterback who loves to sit in the pocket and pick apart defenses. He is also a good athlete who can run with the ball when it is needed. As a tight end, he has wide receiver skills in a tight end's body. His ability to run routes and catch the ball is impressive. The way he out-jumps defenders is also special, as he has the skills to make 50/50 balls look easy for him. Then, as a defensive end, he is unblockable. He fires off the ball and is disruptive against offenses. He also shows a motor that never quits. Dawson is a College Football player, and he picked up an offer from Marist College. He already has an offer from West Virginia, as his recruitment has already started. He is projected as a linebacker and a tight end for Harrisburg. Williams has a chance to be a good quarterback for Bishop McDevitt. He is a classic pocket quarterback who throws well in the pocket. He does a nice job with mechanics and footwork in the pocket. As a Freshman, he showed how talented a player he is as he was able to play well against older players on Varsity. As an edge defender, he does a good job of exploding off the ball. He is a natural athlete who can fire off the ball and be disruptive against the defense. I love how he just launches through the body of an offensive lineman. Then, as an offensive tackle, he shows a good ability to move and block at a high level. He is good at pulling and kicking out defenders. His ability to make defenders miss is excellent. He also has good speed, and once he gets into the open field, he is off to the races. Then, as a defender, he shows good coverage skills. He is also a good tackler in the open field.
