We checked into our third of four camps last week, as for the second year in a row we were in attendance at the USF Prospect Camp which had over 150 campers all in the hunt for getting developed by the Cougars staff and of course those 2026 prospects still hunting for an NSIC offer from the Coo. With that big number of campers Sioux Falls brings in every camp season, we had a lot ot see. All in all in our notebook, we logged 20 top performers and seven honorable mentions that we got a light live eval on last Friday night.

There isn't a ton of quarterbacks that will intrigue me from a athleticism perspective during camp season, but the one that did at the USF prospect camp was Conor Mogensen of Skutt Catholic (NE). The verified 6'2 209 pounder, boosts a 6'6 wingspan, 9'1 broad jump, 34.1 inch vertical, 2.73 on the 20-yard sprint, and 4.44 in the pro agility, which all in all are excellent on my SES size, explosion, speed) scale. Another area that intrigued me with Conor, came during the county fair, as he showed off how wirey and agile he was outside of a testing setting and was one of my favorite finishers during drills in USF, which are words that aren't frequently said during agility drills amongst QBs. Even without Hudl tape to quickly scan, I can say that Conor looks like a prospect you will see on Saturdays and college coaches I am sure have him circled as one to watch for those first three games of his senior season.

Noah was a quarterback I zeroed in during 1v1s from a far and then got an up close look on what the 2026 quarterback from Bishop Heelan brought to the table. He ran a 4.38 pro agility and a 2.78 20-yard sprint during testing, but that wasn't the main area when Noah was encourging in the live eval. He might have not been the biggest QB in the room, but he showed great ball placement especially on his deep routes that I had a front row seat to watching. Man, logging all these notes out of my notebook really have me surprised the state of Iowa has in this 2026 class without their first offers.

Adam was a new name for me out of the state of Nebarska that was a gunslinger that impressed me in Sioux Falls. The first skillset that popped out right away was how fast this young man's release was and it was pretty evident that Adam was a quarterback that could let it fly when he needed. He was highly precise in the deep ball reps I was able to watch and what also impressed me about Adam was the tight passing lanes he could quickly spin the ball the out of. He holds one offer NAIA offer from the GPAC thus far but had a rising showing in Sioux Falls for more attention in my eyes.

Jackson Beetham, Yorkville, IL 2026 Twitter

Easily the best gunslinger in attendance came out of the state of Illinois at the USF prospecct camp, which was Jackson Beetham from Yorkville. He's started to be a hot commodity around the NSIC too in the last week, as the 6'3 190 pounder flashed in numerous reps I watched. Jackson showed it was evident he could make throws on all three levels, as his timing was on point in the bulk of the reps I got to watch during 1v1s. Another clear skillset that you couldn't miss with Jackson, was how sound he was with his poise as again, there wasn't another quarterback in the QB group in Sioux Falls that matched his confidence from start to finish. He was about as balanced as you could get with his arm strength in each rep I was able to watch. Surely a July riser out of the state of Illinois.

This is I believe the second or third camp that Eoin has caught my attention at this summer and for a prospect that is out my region, that is impressive. The 6'0 185 pounder showed off a 6'3 wingspan, 9'2 broad jump and was one of the first wide receivers that jumped out at me at USF. I liked the production I saw from Eoin in high traffic areas that I witnessed during indy drills and later into 1v1s. Eoin is one that impresses me with the upside, as the long length, sound strides have showed off more during camp season that you might see on tape. Eoin is one that I would log as a sleeper out of Central Illinois, due to his camp production as a whole and the versatility he has shown off especially as a route-runner.

Jase was a 2027 wide receiver that flashed on numerous occasions during the USF prospect camp and is one that college coaches should be fired up about upcoming. The 5'9 171 pounder jumped a 9'6 broad jump, 36.1 on the vertical (top tier at camp) and went 2.7 on the 20-yard sprint and 4.27 on the pro agility. During Indy drills, Jase impressed me with the smooth traits he displayed as a route-runner as I was impressed with his soft hands and despite not being the biggest wide receiver out there, his stretches for the ball show off all the athleticism that he has in his favor. We usually don't call prospects from Sioux Falls "sleepers" but Jase is one that is ranked high, but is yet under the radar in these eyes but with rising stock.

Carter Conn, Albert Lea, MN 2026 Twitter

This is now a couple camps this summer that Carter has caught our attention for his skillsets during camp, as I still feel this young man is under the radar in this 2026 class out of Albert Lea. The 6'1 196 pounder has nearly a 6'6 wingspan, 9'2 broad jump, 34.1 inch vertical, 2.77 20 yard sprint, and a 4.56 pro agility. The nearly 6'6 wingspan is intriguing, and was evident on one of his 1v1 reps where Carter sprawled out on the ground ot make an eye-catching diving catch that had surely surprised me that he was able to come back from on his route. That just goes to show the length you could get in your receiving core with this young man. Carter seems like an NSIC fit in my eyes from what I saw in Sioux Falls.

A 2027 offensive linemen that continues to impress me this summer at camps has been Harrisburg's [player_tooltip player_id='1321168' first='Easton' last='Dekkers']. You want to talk about a young man that plays with a great football IQ and great technique? That has been Easton on a constant basis this summer and it was no different than what I saw at the USF Prospect Camp. He's well-versed with his hands and persistently runs thru the chest of the defensive linemen he goes up against and does so with very consistent pad-level that I have seen from Easton all summer. The 6'0 230 pounder is an offensive linemen in the 2027 class that might not fit the "ideal" measurables at the moment, but is one that you go outside that threshold for that fits like a glove at center at the next-level as Easton has a great physical punch as well.

Jake Cassens, United South Central, MN 2026 Twitter

Jake is a name that I have heard of out of Southern Minnesota, but this was the first time I got a live camp eval on him. If you like an offensive linemen that is relentless from a motor perspective, Jake is a OL/DL you might want to take a look at. Jake appeared more agile when I got to watch his footwork in Coo Falls, as I also liked how proactive Jake was with his hands from the live reps I got to watch. I felt the quickness is Jake's hand placement or re-setting his hands had a high hand speed from these eyes. A three time 1st Team All-Conference offensive linemen from USC and a near 4.0 GPA surely shoulde get this young man some next-level attention.

Brett Kopp, Elmwood-Plum City, WI 2026 Twitter

Brett announced his commitment to "The Coo" prior to USF's last prospect camp of the summer, so surely I had to get another live eval on their newest OL commit. You have heard how much I love this young man's work ethic and that was nothing new watching him in Sioux Falls as Brett was business as usual. I'll have to say it now back to back camps, his run-blocking ability raised the bar against his competition. What I saw that was different this time around was growth from Brett with his hand technique, as on the reps I watched he was able to get his hands in smoother positions to drive leverage quicker and easier, which was evident once he got a hold of his defender. It's not something that is commonly said after seeing one prospect at several camps, but I was mega impressed with how well Brett's athletic base has stood tall this camp season, as you never saw one ounce of give up or lack of attention to detail, and I have seen A LOT of reps from Brett this summer. Ever since he committed, I am noticing the Coo is seeing more prospects that I saw with Brett at camps this summer which shows to me the big man is in "recruit mode" for USF from summer camps!

Isaiah was another young buck that caught the attention of my notebook out as a 2028 out of West Fargo Sheyenne. Wasn't able to catch many reps from this young man, but I grasped the quickness he had with his first step for his age. He's one that over the coming years, I have a gut feeling we are going to see the upside turn into skill as he was a defenisve end that showed some progress at camp with shedding off at a quicker time from the first rep to the last rep I watched.

Surely the biggest surprise from the USF Prospect Camp came from 2026 defensive end Alshamon Gunter out of Avon in 9B. The verified 6'5.5 225 pounder boosts an 6'11 wingspan, and you could see every ounce of that in drills and he clawed his way down to the ball carrier. He also has the explosive traits you want jumping a 9'4.5 in the broad jump which is fasinating for that size. Alshamon was a DE prospect that got better rep after rep he was given, as I was very impressed how progressive his pass rush moves were as he took coaching well and put what he learned in play right away. We will have to wait and see who in the NSIC can snag this young man, as he's a late summer riser for sure at a couple camps I was at.

Talk about a young man that has started to "heat up" his recruiting trail since the USF prospect camp with a couple offers is DL5 in our 2026 class [player_tooltip player_id='1407835' first='Brennen' last='Gable']. It's worth repeating, there is not a defensive linemen that has a bigger motor than Brennen in this class and I would also say Brennen sits in my top tier during camp season for his pass rush moves, as the versatility Brennen has as far as pass-rush moves hits at a higher bar than most defenisve ends I have seen this summer. At the USF prospect camp, Brennen also was dilligent with his second effort during the 1v1 reps I watched, as I am convinced this young man has no quit in his body as a 2026 defensive linemen that logged 27 tackles for a loss last season in 11AAA which is an absurd number. Picked up offers from Dakota Wesleyan and Bemidji State over the last few days.

One of a couple intriguing 2028 prospects in attendance at the USF Prospect Camp was Lawson LeBrun of Mitchell. One of two brothers we feature in Sioux Falls, Lawson caught my attention during indy drills. I was impressed for his age, how on point Lawson was with his downhill pursuit angles as out of the handful I watched, he seemed to be pretty on point with the defenders hip on a constant basis. Surely one that will get added to our 2028 board with the rest of the 2028 South Dakota class.

Luke is a linebacker that based on the live eval I got on him in Sioux Falls, he's one that I feel strikes the eye test with flying colors amongst other skillsets. I thought in the early stages of camp, Luke was one of the more flexible linebackers in the group. The nearly 6'3 210 pounder from Mitchell, has nearly a 6'7 wingspan which to me projects as a edge rusher, 8'11 on the broad jump, 30.6 on the vertical, 2.82 in the 20 yard sprint. Luke fits the mold for position flexibility, as he could be an EDGE rusher or linebacker. The best fit I can see for Luke, happens at linebacker, due to how rangy he is and the lenght of his strides. A couple NAIA offers right now, but he's one I could see D2 schools looking closely at the first three games for.

An 8-man linebacker in the state of Iowa that intrigued me at the USF prospect camp came from Kingsley-Pierson's [player_tooltip player_id='1699486' first='Tyler' last='Koch']. You could tell off the eye test, that he showed off smooth technique and in my eyes got better rep after rep by being coachable. He showed off some of the most physical hands in the linebacker group when he got off his sheds. Tyler is a high motor middle linebacker that I also loved how he finished every rep at the USF prospect camp. He's one that I feel is way under the radar in the state of Iowa hunting for that first offer.

The 6'1 205 pounder from Elkhorn South, during indy drills and 1v1s a rapid release off the snap which showed off his agility and burst. Especially during individual drills, you could tell quickly that Griffin relished the attention to detail from the Coo Falls coaching staff in my eyes. If you like middle linebackers with huge motors, great instincts, and somewhat under the radar with just a couple NAIA offers, Griffin could be a fit for your program as one that I feel I would give a D2 grade as far as fit goes based on what I saw in Sioux Falls.

Yet another Iowa 2026 linebacker flying under the radar in my eyes was OABCIG's [player_tooltip player_id='1242845' first='Kade' last='Spotts'] at the USF Prospect Camp. Watching Kade transition to the ball during indy dirlls intrigued me as you could grasp the instincts he had brewing when he would attack the hip. I could grasp that Kade is one that flashes his finesse in tight areas as a linebacker that is fluid in his movement getting to the point of attack. In my eyes, the upside peaks in as a linebacker at the next-level as I feel Kade's vision shows off a greater football IQ on the defenisve side of the ball as a 6'1 200 pounder that surprisely doesn't have an offer yet that I could track.

Easily one of my favorite 2028s in attendance was West Fargo Sheyenne defensive back Mack Beschorner. He was one of the most coachable underclassmen I saw in attendance and the speed of picking up new concepts seemed easiy to process for Mack on numerous ocassions I watched his reps. Starting off with testing, Mack showed off smooth change of direction for his age and landed a 4.45 in the pro agility. Mack also was impressive during County Fair (agility drills) as from the reps I watched against his competition, I don't think he lost one rep going up against mostly athletes that were older than him. Getting into 1v1s, Mack showed the range that's at his disposal and very likely is going to to grow much wider in the coming years. He surely showed off plenty of great skillsets in our first live eval we got on him at PRZ Dakotas and will be a name to know in our 2028 ND class.

The 5'11 173 pounder ran a 2.53 20-yard sprint (has to be in the top-tier at camp), 9'6 broad jump, and a 4.26 on his pro agility.
