The dynamic athlete out of Helix is a fast, twitched-up runner with the ball in his hands and has an arm that can threaten defenses through the air and with his legs. Gets the ball out with a tight, quick release and shows some natural velocity on his passes. He's a skilled, athletic passer that can sling from the pocket with smooth mechanics and produce explosive plays with his legs. On the smaller side at 5'10"/145 but makes up for it with his natural arm talent and ability to move the pocket and throw on the run. Operates with quiet feet, throws off a balanced platform, and shows good accuracy to all areas of the field. He shows great touch and accuracy on the deep ball and does a good job of moving the pocket to extend plays. Fits passes into tight windows with his anticipation and ability to lead receivers and looks comfortable in the pocket when dealing with pressure. The 6'2"/200 QB passed for over 1,800 yards and 17 TDs in his junior campaign but will need to cut down on the turnovers coming into his senior season (11 INTs in 2024). He's a strong-armed pocket passer that can deliver on-time with accuracy when getting his platform and feet set. He's on the raw side in terms of his footwork and mechanics as a thrower but looks like he could unlock even more power in his arm with more focus and consistency in his operation. Strong, physical frame should give him the durability to hold up at the next level and offers some promising physical tools to work with. He's a savvy, athletic passer that can improvise off-schedule and make mobile plays outside the pocket. Slick runner with the ball in his hands that can pick up yards in chunks and is efficient getting the ball out on-time with a tight release. Quick and decisive with his reads in the RPO action and shows good pocket awareness avoiding the rush.
