Last Season (4-5)

West Seneca West's 2024 season was a roller coaster of emotions to say the least. The Warhawks started the season 1-2 with each of the 3 games having a margin of 5 points or less. But their divisional wins over Niagara Wheatfield, Frontier and a nail bitter against Williamsville North gave them the #5 seed in the playoffs. From there, they went on the road and were eliminated by Kenmore West 31-12.

Anderson is currently unranked on Prep Redzone but that should change after this season. Injuries hurt Anderson's progress as a sophomore but when he was on the field, he proved to be a tough as nails player and is expected to start the season as the Warhawks #1 RB and starting Middle Linebacker.

Freeman entered 2024 as West Seneca West's top back but after a slow start, Jarod suffered a season ending injury early in the season. I have seen him working some 7on7s this offseason and he looks to be at 100%. Not only that, he looks to have possibly moved to WR and could be an exceptional DB.

Snyder is a strong O-Lineman that started at Center for WSW last season. He has excellent footwork and blocks to the whistle. Heading into his senior season, a lot will be expected from Brayden; especially from a leadership standpoint. He may also make his presence known on the defensive side of the ball as a DT.

Allen is a monstrous two-way stud with a high motor. He moves extremely well for a player that is nearly 300 lbs. His awareness is excellent and he is incredibly strong. His name should be thrown in the Trench Trophy ringer as this season progresses.

Anderson was WSW's starting QB on JV as an 8th grader last season. He is expected to be the varsity starter right out of the gate. On tape and in 7v7s, he has shown excellent athleticism and the ability to read coverages. His knowledge of the game exceeds most SENIOR QBs. Few QBs are four year varsity starters but Mason looks like he will be one of them.

2025 Outlook

Current Head Coach: Mike Vastola (Entering his 11th season)

Other than their 10/17 game vs Lockport, each of West Seneca West's opponents are from Class A. But for playoff seedings, the games that will matter the most will be against divisional opponents; 9/5 vs Frontier, 9/19 @ Clarence, 10/3 @ Williamsville North and 10/10 vs Niagara Wheatfield.

Most of their skill players are sophomores and juniors but their line is made up of seniors, which can be problematic for the A1 division. This is a very young team that even if they don't play for the sectional title this season, they will be a team to watch for the next couple years.
