[player_tooltip player_id='990209' first='Justin' last='Griffin'] enters his senior year with a real chance to lead New Jersey in rushing yards per game. At 5'10”, 170 pounds, the Passaic standout combines solid burst, shiftiness, and impressive contact balance to make defenders miss and create chunk plays. He averaged 180 yards per game last season and cleared 1,600 total rushing yards—an elite mark for a junior. Griffin remains the focal point of Passaic's offense, and if the volume stays high, he could push past his junior year totals. While he's still chasing that first offer, his production, speed in space, and ability to consistently find lanes make him a serious name to watch this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1467533' first='Michael' last='Rogers'] made a strong impression as a freshman, and he's only scratching the surface. At 6'0”, 190 pounds, he's one of the more physically gifted young backs in the state. He runs with power, but it's his burst and open-field speed that truly separate him. Rogers has already earned an offer from Syracuse, which speaks volumes about how college programs view his upside. With a full offseason of growth and a solid offensive line returning at Franklin, Rogers is poised to build on his breakout year. If he continues ripping off explosive runs like he did last fall, he could very well find himself leading New Jersey in rushing yards per game in 2025.

[player_tooltip player_id='284069' first='Najee' last='Calhoun'] is already one of the most polished backs in New Jersey. The top-rated back in the 2026 class, he blends vision, balance, and burst with the ability to break off chunk plays at any time. While he shared carries last season with Army commit [player_tooltip player_id='212385' first='Dante' last='Kain'], Najee is now stepping into the lead role at Bergen Catholic. With a heavier workload and Bergen's strong offensive line paving the way, Calhoun has a real shot to explode. His home run ability makes him a legitimate candidate to lead the state in rushing yards per game this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='1522214' first='Matteo' last='Tramutola'] brings toughness and reliability to the Voorhees offense. At 6'0”, 200 pounds, he's a physical, downhill runner who rarely goes down on first contact. As a two-sport athlete, he's shown the competitive edge and versatility to impact games in multiple ways. Tramutola averaged over 138 yards per game last season, proving he can carry a heavy workload and produce at a high level. Already the go-to playmaker in key moments, and with Voorhees continuing to lean on him, the volume will be there. While he's a strong candidate to lead in total yards, his consistency and ability to wear down defenses make him a legitimate threat to lead New Jersey in rushing yards per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1529469' first='Michael' last='Napolitano'] from Hasbrouck Heights is one of New Jersey's most explosive backs. His rare combination of speed, patience, and vision makes him a constant big-play threat. What truly separates him is how he waits for blocks to develop, then accelerates through openings with elite burst. Napolitano is coming off a monster season with over 1,500 rushing yards, averaging 152 yards per game and a staggering 10 yards per carry. With that kind of production already under his belt, it's very realistic to see him lead the state in rushing yards per game for the 2025-2026 season.
