OAA Juniors Poised for a Big Season

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Every year, several teams in the OAA make deep playoff runs, and several prospects commit to phenomenal colleges. Right now, several Juniors are gearing up for a big season. On tape, Teddy has promising stuff at running back and as a slot WR. All-around, the athleticism shows, but he's too indecisive to consistently break big plays. In addition, Teddy could absolutely develop better contact balance. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What makes me optimistic are his testing numbers. A 4.9 40-yard dash and 4.6 shuttle are promising, and absolutely above par for the OAA Blue. His fundamentals still seem pretty raw, but more intentional practice and good game reps will continue to boost his stock. Additionally, Mason has been competing his butt off this offseason, at both DB and WR. All-around, Mason shows flashes, but is still underbaked. I'm not yet confident enough to comment on his man coverage skills, as I'd like to see a better variety of routes defended. Though, Tae demonstrates great ball skills. A couple of perfectly-timed PBUs, a few TD-saving. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tae is also a solid offensive player. He's a nice open-field threat who sports tremendous upside. Getting most of the touches outside the tackles, Will earns a ton of high-upside touches every game. When the play is blocked well, Will is able to consistently find open space and outrun defenders on his way to the sideline. Against bad-tackling teams, Will does flash good contact balance. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This season, I expect him to play the same role in Seaholm's Veer offense. Lots of touches in space, and phenomenal performances in Seaholm's W's. What I'm looking for now are improved performances against the toughest opponents. This season, the final two weeks against Adams and Groves will be huge tests.
