No longer waiting: VA’s newly ranked 2026 prospects – Part 1

He committed to Virginia Tech on June 18th. Wegdam is being recruited to play offensive tackle. Wegdam is a dominant blocker who consistently creates movement at the point of attack and finishes with authority. The multiple pancakes on his highlights show that he has a nasty streak and a desire to finish. It's worth noting that he also plays defensive line for his team and understands defensive tendencies better. He consistently makes high-level plays on the football. He's also not afraid to get involved in run support or finish plays aggressively. Mason shows trust In his technique and has disciplined eyes. I'm also impressed with the way he intercepts passes at the catch point, undercuts routes, and makes game-changing plays. With his height and frame, he's a mismatch for linebackers and cornerbacks alike, especially as a blocker. Parker is a reliable short-yardage target, able to pick up extra yards after the catch. His highlights from las season shows a consistent ability to displace defenders and finish blocks. Bezabih shows a strong initial punch and drive. At the point of attack, he plays with heavy hands and a strong lower-half. Bezabih looks to bury defenders rather than just seal him when it comes to run blocking. There's a lot of combo blocking him his junior-year film. You can see that Bezabih understands angles and timing.
