Film Study: Section 1 2026 Wide Receivers

Shoemaker has an elite frame for the position making him a deadly weapon on the Rye offense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Shoemaker displays long speed paired with length and a high football IQ. His 6'5″ frame makes him a 50/50 ball threat.He projects best as an outside receiver given his frame. Adding some weight could see him line up in Y-TE formations at times. Despite this, the Somers star, makes up for his size with his playmaking ability.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Palazzolo has a quick first step, catching DB's off guard allowing him to become an elite deep threat. His physicality is unmatched as he displays the ability to make tough catches through contact and haul in 50/50 balls. He displays a solid understanding of the route tree and has an above average IQ. A few routes he excels in are posts and corners. In his film, he is a sneaky athlete who creates plays all over the field. He has solid hands and a basic understanding of the route tree. At the QB position he excels in RPO and option plays. He has solid speed and can reach his top speed quickly. After the catch he is elusive and hard to tackle. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Following an All Section 1st Team Nomination last year Kavanagh ranks amongst some of the best prospects in Section One. Standing at 5'10" 180 pounds, he displays solid size for both the DB and WR positions.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In his Junior season, he recorded 720 yards on 53 catches with 11 touchdowns breaking Yorktown records in the process. On tape, he displays outstanding body control with fluid hips allowing him to make sharp cuts across the field. He has a great IQ and reads a defense on the fly. He has solid hands and the way he racks up catches is impressive.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Galante is a solid two position prospect who projects mainly as a WR who can split time as a RB in some sets and a KR/PR on special teams. He has a quick release with a good understanding of the route tree. His speed is a main trait which sees him with success.
