Elite '28 Rising Stars Poised for Big Seasons

Holston is one of the elite edge rushers in this class and is another no-brainer P4 caliber prospect that should develop into either an edge rusher or outside linebacker as he grows and develops. He is very explosive off the edge and disruptive with violent hands, primary and counter moves in his toolbox and wins with leverage and inside hands at the POA. Holston shows he can set the edge, has elite redirect and COD abilities in space and is a very fluid athlete out in space. He currently holds eight offers from around the country from the likes of Ole Miss, Maryland, Syracuse and South Florida among others.     Miller checks into our rankings update as a top 2 linebacker in the state and just inside the top 25 overall after a stellar Freshman season for the Spartans. He is already well on his way to becoming a national recruit and holds offers from Oregon, ASU, Arizona and Sac State and should see a slew of others come in throughout the next year. He is a violent hitter with fluid movements, closing speed and cover abilities downfield while showing he can rush the passer and make plays outside the tackles. Look for Miller to be one of the sections top tacklers this Fall and a key name to note.     Grant is another key piece in this loaded '28 linebacker group Norcal has and checks in as the top ranked linebacker in the state and inside the top 25 overall. He has had a very productive summer gathering offers from Minnesota, Arizona, ASU, Maryland among others and is another prospect that is on his way to becoming a national recruit. Grant is a highly instinctual and fast play-maker that packs a punch at the POA, shows elite COD/movement abilities and has a quick trigger when coming downhill. He will be one of the top players in the loaded WCAL this Fall and should gather plenty of post season honors.     Fuga is one of the top prospects across the state in this 2028 class, and is a very athletic and violent player that wins consistently at the POA. He is a natural bender with hip and ankle mobility, shows he can snap out of his stance and create immediate vertical push and has nasty intentions when finishing. In pass protection, he stays within his frame and has patient hands while excelling against both speed and power rushers while able to anchor when needed. Fuga has all the tools for the P4 level and holds one offer from Oregon State heading into his Sophomore season for Mount Miguel.     Shepp is the next up and coming young tight end prospect across California and is coming off a year where he saw plenty of Varsity reps playing one of the top teams in the state. He has the ideal frame and catch radius for the position, sure hands in traffic and does a nice job chunking yards at the second level to create separation and using his frame to box out smaller defenders. Also getting reps on the offensive line last year, Shepp has good position versatility on both sides of the ball and tons of intriguing growth potential moving forward.
