[player_tooltip player_id='1265746' first='James' last='Armstrong'] is a special talent at the QB position. As a passer, the arm is live, can make the ball go 50 yards in air without a sweat. His short game is timed well, slants and shallows are no problem for Armstrong as his timing on those throws are almost perfect. Armstrong really shines as a runner at this point in his young career, bowling through defenders but also has long speed that pairs well enough to make me see shades of former Alabama QB Jalen Milroe. Armstrong is a guy who people need to know as soon as possible because to me Armstrong is a special talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='1040324' first='Owen' last='Herrick'] is a surgeon on the football field. Herrick is the most precise and accurate thrower of the football in his class. Herrick has a live arm to pair with his accuracy. Balls thrown over the middle are where Herrick stood out to me. His confidence as a passer throwing over the middle, layering and putting the ball in a spot where only his receiver can grab it were pretty special. Herrick has a live deep ball as well pairing for a lethal Quarterback prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='992349' first='Anthony' last='Smith'] is someone you want to operate your offense. Smith has a high understanding of landmarks and where he needs to get the football too. This trait allows him to complete passes with capital A anticipation. Smith has good accuracy and a confident arm, allowing him to layer out breaking balls to create perfect hole shots on his highlight reel, while also throwing slants over the middle with precise and accurate placement. Smith is someone who has room to grow, but the traits that he possess currently as a rising sophomore give him such a great projection to the next level and allows him to be a force at the high school level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1260044' first='Devontae' last='Smith'] is a name i've highlighted before but it feels impossible to leave him out of this list. Smith lives on the boundary specifically on vertical boundary shots. His release is quick and looks effortless before he flicks the ball 45 yards down the field perfectly into the basket. Smith is a gifted runner, fast, shifty, and good vision. When I watch him play you kind of have to admire it. The mechanics are picture perfect from the throwing motion to the hips and all the way down to how his feet are positioned. Smith will be a polarizing prospect in a couple of years without a doubt.

Eric Swan is a really fun player to watch. Swan plays QB like a pitcher, switching up the angles in how he throws depending on what the defense shows him and where he needs to get the ball. Swan has a super fun side arm release when he's throwing on the run or while rolling out. He's got a more than capable arm to complete deep balls as well. On the move Swan plays like a power back just trying to run through you and pick up the extra yard. These tendencies flash a little Jaxson Dart to me which makes his film at the QB spot really fun.
