The Class of 2027 rankings update is LIVE!! The incoming junior class has been a special one since entering the high school ranks a few summers ago and has just received the biggest update since we started tracking the Class of 2027. The latest update saw the rankings jump from a Top 75 to 160 ranked prospects from across the state. Additionally, we have over 400 player profiles that include the rankings and watchlist.

After this massive update, I figured a "re-introduction" was due to bring some of these players to your radar, especially as they enter an important stage of their recruitment. The top 10 stayed the same for the most part, with only two new players and slight movement within this range. Check out how the top 5 shook out in our quick breakdown below:

Omaha Central's Tory Pittman II holds onto the top overall spot for another update, but has some players biting on his heels for now. Pittman has emerged as a national prospect with offers from schools across the country, including Nebraska, Iowa State, Kansas State, USC, Wisconsin, Tennessee, Miami, Penn State, LSU, Sacramento State, Florida State, Oregon, and Notre Dame. The Eagle's safety had another productive season as a sophomore with 54 tackles, a TFL, three interceptions, 26 receptions, 458 receiving yards, and five touchdowns. Pittman stands out with his uber-instinctive coverage skills, elite range, and explosive athleticism.

Omaha Westside's [player_tooltip player_id='487734' first='Braylen' last='Warren'] has been on a recruiting hot streak since earning his first Power 4 offers last summer and then turning in a stellar sophomore campaign. Warren's elite arm talent was on full display last season as he threw for 2,105 yards, 30 touchdowns, 122.4 QBR, and completed 67% of his passes en route to a state championship game appearance. Braylen's offer list has since ballooned with bids from Iowa, Florida State, Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, South Florida, Kansas, Illinois, Missouri, Arkansas, Cincinnati, Cal, Virginia Tech, Virginia, Michigan State, and Toledo. The most notable aspect of Braylen's game is his football IQ, which demonstrates his ability to make smart decisions with the ball and confidently lead an offense. Although he doesn't do it much, Braylen is also quite the athlete who can scramble and pick up additional yardage on the ground, as shown by his 175 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

Omaha Central's [player_tooltip player_id='212374' first='Kylonn' last='Haynie'] is a beast of a running back who began to turn heads the summer before his freshman year and has spent the past two seasons driving them into the turf. Haynie is a bruiser who plays the game like a throwback RB with his physical style of play. Kylonn's production exploded last season after carrying the ball 146 times for 1,011 yards and 10 touchdowns. Kylonn holds D1 offers from Wisconsin, Nebraska, Toledo, Kansas State, Kansas, Iowa State, and North Dakota State.

Millard North's [player_tooltip player_id='1085067' first='Matt' last='Erickson'] is a towering offensive lineman who we were excited to see back on the field full-time as a starter and will be donning new threads this fall. Standing at 6'7" and 285 pounds, Matt is a stonewall along the offensive line with the length to hold pass rushers at bay and is versatile enough to play on the left or right side. Erickson started gaining college attention early and now holds offers from Toledo, Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas State, and Kansas. Matt's combination of size and athleticism will continue to draw more attention from college coaches, especially if he comes out mauling people over in his junior year.

Omaha Westside's [player_tooltip player_id='1085158' first='TayTay' last='Jenkins'] had as big of a breakout season as you can have after transferring over to the Warriors and becoming the feature back. Despite not being the biggest back out there, TayTay proved nearly impossible to bring down on initial contact or in the open field. He is extremely twitchy with excellent vision and the burst to break away from defenses on his way to the endzone. Jenkins ended his sophomore season with 235 carries, 1,993 rushing yards, 22 rushing touchdowns, 217 receiving yards, and four receiving touchdowns. Jenkins has added his first offer from Iowa Central and will likely see that grow before the end of his junior season.

The rest of the top 10 includes: Papillion-La Vista OL [player_tooltip player_id='1547254' first='Bryce' last='Vigness'], Blair OL [player_tooltip player_id='720313' first='Ty' last='Tessendorf'], Columbus Lakeview OL [player_tooltip player_id='1192417' first='Luke' last='Wellman'], Millard West DB [player_tooltip player_id='1556216' first='Colton' last='Williams'], and Central City ATH/LB/WR [player_tooltip player_id='1192526' first='Turner' last='Hanke'].
