Royal Clash 7s: Skyridge, Orem, Cedar

We continue our look back at the Royal Clash 7's, which had outstanding talent all around.   Skyridge    During the 7's event, Sweetwyne showed a dynamic arm and quick processing. He has great arm talent, where the ball jumps out of his hands. Sweetwyne layers his throws, knows when to change his velocity, and has great ball placement. He has made great improvements since the end of the season, and he's primed for a huge season. He's a dual-threat quarterback, but it's his arm that's made headway this offseason. He throws a great deep ball and has a big arm.     During the 7's event, Fountaine looked crisp and decisive. He is a budding superstar and will be a Power-Four recruit. Fountaine processes quickly, has great arm talent, with excellent velocity, and a consistent, tight spiral. The ball jumps out of his hands, and he has great ball placement. Fountaine is an elite prospect who is biding his time.     During the 7's event, he was a shut-down corner and made easy work of the receivers he matched up against. Gilford is an exceptional cover corner and took reps on the offensive side of the ball, too. He has great hip fluidity, sticks to the hip pocket of his receiver, can press and play off coverage, and has the speed to turn and burn. Gilford is primed for a fantastic season and is a multi-year Power-Four starter.     During the 7's event, Sheffield made plays all day long and routinely got open and showed strong hands, and is a player who moves well. He got open with good footwork and manipulation and caught the eye with several catches on the afternoon. Sheffield is primed for a big year.     During the 7's event, he showed good closing speed and was a player who found ways to get open and make plays. He has strong hands and has little wasted movement to get upfield. He had a great day and came up big when it mattered.     During the 7's event, Bennett showed his hands, and he is a natural hands catcher who doesn't fight with the ball. Once he has the ball, he does a good job of making defenders miss and moves well laterally. He is proving himself a dependable receiver out of the backfield and honing his craft. He should earn a bigger role this upcoming season.     During the 7's event, Parker showed great instincts and made several plays on the back end for the defense, and broke up several passes. Parker demonstrated great closing speed and ball-tracking skills, having an excellent day.    Orem    During the 7's event, Ka'awa showcased his strong arm, and he's put on great size. He has a big arm and great velocity, he throws a nice deep ball and will layer his throws. He made some good throws on the day and is a quarterback with great size.     During the 7's event,, he showcased great speed and footwork and as a receiver, routinely got open. He has strong hands and is exceptionally strong at the catch point. He's put on great size this offseason and defensively, is always the anchor to the defense and has great closing speed and a player that imposes his physicality at will.     During the 7's event, Rasmussen showed good cover skills and quick acceleration, and lateral movement. He has good closing speed and does a good job of keeping everything in front of him and being a pest to his opposing receiver. He showcases good hands and recovery.     During the 7's event, Wesley showed great footwork and route running. His routes are more crisp and footwork is much cleaner. He's had a fantastic offseason, and with his size and length will get ample playing time this year.    Cedar    During the 7's event, Kelling looked great. He's a player that has caught my eye everytime I see him. He has great processing, ball placement, and finds ways to make plays. Kelling isn't afraid to take a deep shot and he stresses the defense as he'll spray it all over the field. He has a great arm and will find a way onto a team at the next level and become a playmaker. He's someone that deserves more recognition     During the 7's event, Parsons showed great speed and being strong at the catch point. He does a good job of creating late separation and has good footwork. Parsons moves well and has good hip fluidity. He had an excellent day and is primed for a fantastic final season, he should get recruited regionally and is a steady riser.     During the 7's event, Crowley was another player who made plays and was strong at the catch point. He found ways to get open, create on his own, and create separation. He's another player set up for a fantastic upcoming season.    Those were some additional players that were impactful on the afternoon and was quite impressive
