Brooks proved why he's one of the top defensive backs in the state. Fresh off of some D1 offers, he consistently won matchups with a combination of physicality and solid footwork. Lined up against some of the best receivers at the showcase, Brooks did well and often came out on top. Even when beaten off the line of scrimmage, his elite recovery speed allowed him to get back into position and make plays. Brooks was a clear standout at the DB position—on his new home field, no less. He recently transferred from Canarsie to perennial powerhouse Abraham Lincoln High School.

Known last year as a quarterback for Erasmus Hall, Murray is now being recognized as a true “ATH” heading into his senior season. While he'll be lining up all over the field this year, at the showcase he primarily took reps at wide receiver. His release off the line was impressive, and during several reps, it felt like he was operating at a different level athletically. Murray showcased his ability to change speeds and consistently get open in 1-on-1 matchups. His performance earned him an offer from Wagner shortly after the event.

Coming off a breakout junior year with Long Island Lutheran, Robinson had plenty of buzz heading into the event—and he delivered. In the morning session, he made a strong case as the top quarterback at the showcase. Calm and composed, Robinson displayed a smooth delivery and threw an accurate deep ball. With plenty of reps to work with, he took full advantage of the opportunity, consistently making plays and standing out among the group.

Malespin was one of the most dominant players at the showcase. Shortly after the event concluded, he received an offer from Wagner. The Iona Prep center was a force in 1-on-1s, using his hands well and showcasing tremendous strength—easily making him one of the strongest players on the field. He was a key part of one of the top offensive line units in the state last season, Malespin is poised to be one of the top centers in New York for the upcoming season.

Jones, from APR, had a solid sophomore campaign, but he's now on track for a breakout junior season. While most of his sophomore tape came from his time at defensive back, he shined at wide receiver during the Elite V Showcase. Jones made several highlight-reel catches that caught everyone's attention. With reliable hands and the athleticism to win 50/50 balls, he made a big impression. Expect Jones to be a key contributor for Randolph this upcoming season as they will most likely throw the ball more. His coming out party might've started early.

After this showcase, Brassfield-Dailey made his name known. Outside of his bright green shorts, Dailey made two plays that were impossible to miss. First, he came down with a highlight-reel interception on a deep 50/50 ball. Then, he demonstrated his physicality by jamming a receiver at the line and winning that matchup with ease. Dailey impressed in press coverage and showed patience and control against quicker receivers. His ability to use his length and stay disciplined in coverage made him one of the top DB's of the day.
