Our DL2 in the South Dakota 2028 class moved the needle forward during his live eval at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase last Saturday. I was impressed with how progressive he was with his pass-rush moves and showed off good improvision on the fly when his first look wasn't there against mostly bigger competition in the OL group. Dawson shows off well-versed dexterity in his bend for his age, as a few reps he defined the term of why the "low man wins" with his agility on display. He might be 6'0 190 pounds at the moment, but I wouldn't doubt a growth spurt might be coming soon as he looks like he has wiggle room for more size incoming. Should be a slight riser up our 2028 board as the live eval caught our attention well.

Our #1 overall prospect in the North Dakota 2028 class in [player_tooltip player_id='1104633' first='Jordan' last='Myers'] of Grand Forks Red River, showed off what I wanted to see in the live eval for sure. The lateral movement caught my attention in the early reps and trended well into the later reps, as Jordan showed off the suddenness I wanted to see with his change of direction as a DL/OL prospect that I can tell craves the small details in the trenches. I thought Jordan was one of the most balanced 2028 DL prospects we had in Aberdeen last Saturday across the board and showed off well-versed hand placement and intuition on his releases to the ball. Will be intrigued to follow this young man more this summer on the camp trail for sure.

Patrick was a defensive linemen out of Sioux Valley in the 2027 class, that I was intrigued to get a live-eval on as one that I feel that eval got him further up my 2027 radar. No doubt I could gauge quickly the motor that Patrick played with in Aberdeen as a DL prospect that got better over time the more reps he got at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. The agile movement resinated with me from the pro agility to the live reps, as Patrick was in our top-tier amongst the defensive line group with his pro-agility, but that carry over trended well in the Indy/1v1 reps I got to watch from him. He also caught my attention with his great character, as he surely seems like an athlete that has a team-first mentality to add to those skillsets in his favor. I can't wait to see how the reps improve even more this summer as one that could progress nicely over the next 4-6 months as one that I feel has a great base incoming with his attention to detail. Twitter

A 2028 defensive tackle that kept my attention during the live reps in Aberdeen, was [player_tooltip player_id='1672163' first='Noah' last='Owen'] out of Huron. What impressed me in the live eval on Noah, was the persistent shedding ability he showed off with his hands that also processed with plenty of power at his disposal. Noah was one I wish I would caught more reps on, as I felt he played above his grade in the reps I did watch and showed off the upside to become a solid run-stuffer for the Tigers incoming with a really intrguing frame for his age that is just getting warmed up in this 2028 class.

Jackson was a new name to my 2028 radar out of Potter County, and man, was I really impressed with this young man during the live reps. Even before realizing that Jackson had the longest wingspan in the DL group (6'6, 78 inches) I could see him from a mile away when watching his reps and was impressed with how well for his age he was able to use that length and also was impressive with his swift get off. Jackson was a 2028 prospect that won plenty of reps from what I watched, as the athleticism he showed off with his shedding hands showed off persistency and agility from start to finish. He surely is a 2028 DE prospect that I need to get on my 2028 rankings ASAP as I loved the football IQ and frame that can grow in the coming years with Jackson. Twitter

There wasn't in my eyes a more versatile pass-rusher amongst the defensive tackle group, than top 10 overall ranked 2027 [player_tooltip player_id='1328151' first='Anthony' last='McArthur-Morin'] at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, as one that rose his stock up from the live eval at last showcase, and it looks like that might be the same from this May showcase in Aberdeen. His fluid movement during the live eval showed off even more instincts than we saw in December and what impressed me more with Anthony was his growing football IQ, as on particular rep he went from off-line to winning the rep due to his finish, which impresses me with his size. The 6'1 275 pounder from Bismarck, showed off constant blasting hands with his strength and even an eye-catching spin move that showed off excellent pursuit angles. He is starting to get a lot of attention at the D1 level which tells me his stock is rising not only up our 2027 board, but on plenty of college boards.

Thiik was another 2028 prospect that came into our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase as our DL1 in South Dakota, and did not dissapoint during the live reps I got to watch last Saturday in Aberdeen. The verified 6'2 212 pounder flashed in our top-tier in the 40-yard dash with a 4.82 and the translation I found with his quick first step in 1v1 reps solidified that speed Thiik has at his disposal. I also thought Thiik grew his football IQ since my last eval, as his pursuit angles showed off to be more persuasive in my eyes. I also felt there was more noted fluidity off the snap in the live reps and I thought Thiik processed faster his shedding ability than you see on his tape from this fall, which shows me this young man has focused growing his craft this offseason. He surely showed off why that DL1 in the 2028 class will stick by our next 2028 update.

Kullen was a 2027 prospect that I was fired up to get a live eval on as the tape he showed off from his sophomore season was fasinating in my eyes. The 6'2 220 pounder from Fargo South, not only passed the eye test with me, but the college coaches I spoke with too and it' wasn't just the eye-test either that Kullen showed off last Saturday in Aberdeen. Kullen intrigued me right away with his bend athletic bend that showed off the length that I wanted to see in the live-eval. The long-striding off the snap was apparent in the clips I watched/recorded from Kullen as his sudden burst and pursuit angles projects nicely to the next-level as an EDGE rusher. There is plenty of room to grow out from a frame perspective with Kullen, and that should certainly intrigue the college coaches out there already recruiting the 2027 class. Kullen is surely a upwards trender in what is a deep defensive line class in North Dakota

Anthony got on my radar a few months ago when I started tracking how elite his 100-meter times were for his size and had a great showing at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase last Saturay. He impressed college coaches at all three levels that I talked to, and wasted no time showing off that speed, running a 4.78 at 6'2 223 pounds which was clearly the best time in either of the trenches. I felt from start to finish, his pass-rush moves got more progressive and instinctive by the end of our showcase as I saw more agile hands off his sheds to close out the session. He sure is a must add to my 2027 rankings, as I am somewhat kicking myself I didn't have him on my radar sooner as I love this young man's ceiling. Twitter

Tone took home the DL MVP, but what impressed me even more of what a vocal leader this young man was at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. .On the several 1v1 reps I watched out of Tone, I was continuously impressed how smooth his lateral movement was for his size despite not much tape out there yet. It was his inside moves that started outside and getting inside that showed off how much hip flexibility he has in his verified 6'0 255 pound frame out of powerhouse Brandon Valley. His persistent and well-based first step set the tone (no pun intended) on just about every rep that usually led to a win during 1v1s as a DL that is flying way under the radar into his senior season. Tone surely looked like a next-level prospect that appears as a senior bloomer in the making that created his first spark at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase to start that trend into his camp season and senior year. Twitter
