The Class of 2027 is full of talent from top to bottom, and it was fun taking a deep dive into some big offensive linemen who did a great job of putting good stuff on film and playing their way into our Spring Rankings update here in North Carolina! Let's take a look at a few of these special road graders and tell you what impressed us about their overall game.

As a left tackle for White Oak, I was really impressed with how well Jah-Von came off the ball in the running game. He is a physical and strong player who can obliterate defenders on the first and second level of the defense if he's blocking straight ahead or down blocking for the run. I think he has very good size as well, which should interest college coaches. However, he is a player I would really love to see in a camp setting because his film doesn't show much of anything from a pass protection standpoint or how well he may move in space. Based on what he's shown, he would probably kick inside at the next level to a guard or center position, but as a run blocker, he's worth the ranking for sure.

Nick is coming into his first year at Providence Day, having played previously for Cannon School in Concord. Nick was selected as an All-Conference player last season and has good collegiate size for a center, which bodes well for him from a recruiting perspective. Nick received his first offer a couple of weeks ago from West Virginia State University. Nick is also a talented wrestler, which always helps offensive linemen overall. Nick does a very good job of snapping and stepping with force on shaded techniques in the running game - he loves to be nasty and drive defensive linemen for several yards. Nick is strong in pass protection, not allowing upfield penetration to defensive tackles in solo pass protection. He is a talented player who should have more offers coming his way.

Anytime you get an offensive lineman at 6'7 or 6'8 at 300 pounds AND they are a basketball player that can move, you've got a college coach's attention instantly. And Treveon has picked up a couple of offers based on that physical profile from Alabama A&M and Coastal Carolina, respectively. The old adage of "you can't teach size" is strong here, because Treveon's best football is ahead of him. Playing at left tackle last season, Treveon is still relatively new to football, but you can see the athleticism is there. He has really good footwork, and he blocks to the echo of the whistle. As he continues to learn technique and the details, he can be really good very quickly - it's just a matter of how fast he picks up on the coaching he receives.

Aarion has the size you like to see in a potential tackle prospect, and on film, there are definitely some things to like. Playing the right tackle spot, which is a traditional power position, Aarion brings some impressive run blocking ability from both zone and power-type blocking schemes on film. His footwork is good, and he moves with some good agility and technique, always keeping his feet moving on contact - something that most younger linemen struggle with. I think he plays a little high at times, but that's something you can fix through practice and technique. It looks like he plays in a run-heavy scheme, so he's another player you would like to see in a camp setting to get an overall feel for. But another physical run blocker from Eastern North Carolina deserves some love and some ranking from us!

The physical profile is the big love right here from me - 6'5 and nearly 300 pounds, always will grab your attention. Playing left tackle, Brayden shows some physicality at the point of attack in the running game. However, once again I think he plays a little high and relies on his natural strength a little more right now than overall technique, but that is something that will change with more experience and coaching. As with some of the other prospects in this group, I'd like to see Brayden in a camp setting for his pass protection technique and general athleticism to see if tackle fits him or a kick inside to guard suits him for college football projection. But I'll end with this - I LOVE seeing the way Brayden finishes defensive linemen, it is something fun to watch, an offensive lineman relishing putting a defender in the dirt!
