2027 Focus: Alabama Spring ID's

In the last few months, I have made it my focus to dive as deep as possible into the 2027 classes in both GA and AL. So far, I have kept track of hundreds of prospects in both states to look out for. Here are a few in Alabama I have added to my board.    Stout, broad-shouldered 5'10 200 with a low center of gravity. He runs exceptionally hard and keeps his feet active while working through traffic. He explodes through the first lane he gets, quickly getting up on defenders' toes. Elite contact balance, gets himself back to balance well. Won't win foot races, but he is a cloud of dust runner who will get tough yards. High floor prospect.     *Now at Prattville*   Rare-traits prospect. Elite basketball player. Gigantic catch radius, natural mismatch. 6'6 180 and will only get bigger. Has the build-up speed to separate. Possesses enough twitch to work horizontally at release points. Booming potential here, if he sticks with football long-term. Holds UNA offer. Hard to imagine FBS and P4 schools taking too much time to get involved here. These guys don't come around too often.     10.83 100M (2025). Skinny, still growing into his frame. Elite speed, will take the top off the defense. Explodes to his top speed in a hurry. He is a blur at release points. Makes subtle adjustments in the air. He has both the top speed and quick twitch to knife into each area of the field. He is a real HR threat with FBS offers under his belt. His upside is through the roof and I am expecting P4 schools to get involved down the line.     IOL/C projection. Thin, but still packing on weight. Athletic, agile prospect. Highlight tape has him operating out of a zone scheme, and he is well-equipped to do so. He is explosive out of his stance, enabling him to reach across the face of blockers and seal running lanes. He has no problem reaching the second level, too. Will have to add some play strength. Plenty of upside here. Holds FBS offers and will add more. Really intrigued here and will re-eval at a later date.     12.17 100M, 19' 7.5'' LJ (2024). Smaller, wiry frame. Looks long for his height. Light on his feet, matches well at LOS and TOR. Does a good job getting his hands on receivers early in press. Ties up well at the top of routes. Willing as a tackler, but just throws himself at legs. Would benefit from answering questions on speed by camping in front of coaches. Regardless, I like how he ties up receivers throughout the route process and can see the intrigue.     Plays mostly on the outside at corner, but could play a few spots in the secondary. Most of highlight tape showcasse his downhill ability. Does an excellent job engaging blockers, pressing out and creating chest separation. A good tackler who seems to have good awareness of when to thump vs when to attack trunk. Holds FBS offers. Would benefit running for coaches.     Will break varsity seal this fall. His physical traits are more than intriguing. Big, lean, wiry player. Everything is long right now, has time and space to fill out. Easy life on the ball, naturally rips through his delivery. Good runner. He naturally has some horsepower as a runner and a passer. He will only get better as he fills out, tightens up his mechanics, and gains experience. Holds an offer from Jackson State. I don't think it's a stretch to say he can grow into one of the more noteworthy 2027 QB prospects in Alabama.     Smaller, cut frame. Has a varsity basketball background. Might slide inside to play nickel at the next level. Relentless pursuit skills. Explodes downhill, bursts past blockers. Arrives with violence at the point of attack. Frequently flags the ball down across the field. Light on his feet in coverage and flashes of good discipline in zone. Holds D1 offers. He will find a way to contribute at the next level if he can continue to take pride in rallying to the ball and tackling.     Leaner, leggier prospect at this stage. Explosive off the snap to immediately compromise front. Engages contact well for a thinner guy, doesn't get washed. Stays on his feet and patient setting the edge. Pursues the ball well. Physical player with plenty of growth available. Has some D1 offers to his name. I would offer him at a P4 school to learn more about him. I am intrigued.     Playing a little light for a pass rusher, but might end up sliding back. Arms look long for HT. Speed rusher off the edge. Overwhelming speed paired with his bend helps him win often. His motor is electric, consistently chasing the ball across the field. Will need to bulk up to better absorb contact. Can compensate for HT with speed. Holds FBS offers.
