He is hard to move off his spot as he is stout, holding up against an interior offensive lineman. He is excellent when he plays as a nose tackle. He fires off the ball and pushes the center back into the offensive backfield. The other big part of his game is his motor. He constantly does a good job of never quitting on the play. He is also strong and is especially good against the run. He is excellent at splitting double-team blocks. Williams recently visited both Villanova and New Hampshire. As a defensive lineman, he does a good job of getting off the ball and pushing offensive linemen back into the offensive backfield. He shows good strength as he is hard to move off the ball. He also does a good job of using leverage and using his arms to extend them against offensive linemen. He also played well as a center. He did a good job of snapping the ball and directing traffic for the offense. At both positions, he shows good speed, strength, and athleticism. At the edge position, he gets off the ball quickly. He fires off the ball and is in the offensive backfield quickly. He does a great job of reading the play and then attacking it in the offensive backfield. Then, as a linebacker, he does a great job of reading his keys and triggering downhill. He is also good at reading the play and making plenty of tackles near the line of scrimmage. His ability to identify, read the play, and then explode through the hole to tackle offensive players in the backfield is exceptional. Then, when he tackles them, the players know he is tackling them because of how physical he is as a tackler. He is also a sideline-to-sideline linebacker. He shows excellent speed as he chases plays all over the field. He does a great job of reading the play and taking the proper angle on stopping the play against the offense. He is particularly good at pass defense. His ability to take away passing lanes for the quarterback is excellent. He drops into the zone and does an excellent job of making the right reads and making a play when the ball is thrown into his zone. He is also a good run-stopper by flying towards the offense and making tackles in or near the line of scrimmage.
