is built to play as a middle linebacker, and the offense can see it on every play that he plays. His ability to identify, read the play, and then explode through the hole to tackle offensive players in the backfield is exceptional. Then, when he tackles them, the players know he is tackling them because of how physical he is as a tackler. He is also a sideline-to-sideline linebacker. He shows excellent speed as he chases plays all over the field. Palmer is a difference-maker at middle linebacker.

might not fit the Division One linebacker mold, It’s hard to watch his tape and deny him his flowers. We can’t turn a blind eye to 156 total tackles registered, that’s one hell of a number even if it’s a bit inflated. Tack on four sacks from his backer alignment, along with an interception, you’ve got yet another Chester 2026 inside the Top 100. Palmer will likely station in the front seven at the next level, but if you want a glimpse at the type of athlete Palmer is, check out his first rep where he catches a TE screen that goes the distance, 70+ yards. A phenomenal gap shooter whose feel for the flow of traffic is on par with some of the class’s best. Brings all of his pads with each tackle. A tone settor, high-energy player who doesn’t mind telling you how good he is. Often aligned as an ILB aligned head up over either guard. Can likely play any LB position in this defense. A heat-seeking missile, snap the ball and this kid is off into your backfield. Great prospect.
