This offseason is the Class of 2028s time to shine. In West Michigan, there are several QBs that we have an eye on.

None of the QBs truly stand out as college prospects right now, but I think several of these guys are well on their way.

Hudsonville has a couple of good QBs in their system. If I had to bet, Treyson won't be QB1 until the 2026 season, and he may be QB2 this season.

His freshman tape is promising. It kicks off with a good throw on the run, then Treyson shows his ability to scramble and use his legs to earn 1st downs. All in all, he looks like a good enough athlete to be a good pro-style varsity player- I don't see him as a true dual-threat yet. As for passing, he's still quite raw. Wonky throwing motion and inconsistent velocity, but a definite high upside.

Reid plays similarly to Grand Haven's senior QB, [player_tooltip player_id='1290550' first='Luke' last='Berry'].

Reid has a big arm and isn't afraid to use it. His tape is full of accurate deep balls and intermediate throws over the middle. Just like Luke, I love Reid's highlights. He's able to sling it with great accuracy from the pocket. The thing that will make or break Reid's career is his IQ. Last season I watched Luke in person. While I still loved his arm talent, I thought his IQ was severely lacking. Reid needs to find a way to make few mistakes.

I don't expect Payton to be Mona Shores' QB1 until at least 2026, but his tape is intriguing enough for me to have an eye on him. For one, his footwork is more advanced than most Class of 2028 prospects. Also, his throwing motion is pretty wonky, but I like the velocity he puts behind his throws.

I don't want to nitpick too much because the fact is he's still a freshman and still has plenty of time to improve. Payton is way ahead of the curve, and I hope to see consistent improvement in his journey to Mona Shores' QB1.

I'm incredibly excited to see Odin this offseason and next season. This past season, Odin was thrown straight into the fire. I watched him in person against ND Prep, and this was very likely Odin's worst performance on the season. In that game, Odin looked extremely frazzled, lacked any consistency, and overall did not look like he belonged on Varsity just yet.

However, his highlights tell a different story. Odin shows flashes of being able to read a defense and deliver good, quick throws. Even against great defenses, Odin has had his moments. If Odin can continue to improve this offseason, I fully expect him to look like a completely different QB next season.

Lou is a name to watch this offseason. He's already made his mark as a JV football and basketball player, and QB Hit List already has a ranking for Lou.

Love his size and love some of his basketball highlights. Seems to be a highly-liked player within the Muskegon community. No football tape that I can find, though.

A very intriguing freshman QB from Caledonia. Like most of these Class of 2028 QBs, Conlan is a little undersized, a little raw mechanically, and isn't always on-point with his accuracy. Though, Conlan stands out with his throw power.

Several points on tape where Conlan delivers great, quick strikes to his receiver. Plus, he's athletic enough to be a great runner at the JV level. With just a little improvement, he can definitely be a great runner at the Varsity level.

Again, very unlikely Conlan will be QB1 this Fall, but 1000% a name to watch this offeason.

Cage has good freshman tape and has a great foundation heading into camp season. One of his biggest strengths is his ability to stand strong in the pocket and escape pressure. A lot of young QBs are way too scramble-happy, but Cage seems to sense pressure and stand in there way better than most. Plus, he has a handful of good, quick throws. His throwing motion is a bit inconsistent as well as his footwork, but he's got a lot of time. Should be a great QB next season and potential Varsity player.
