We've had a ton of content dropping all week, taking a look at the best players that stood out throughout the tournament. In this breakdown, we're putting that spotlight on the 18U division and the Sooner 7 program. This program had a very successful weekend, winning three out of the five divisions and having two teams that finished as runner ups. This breakdown doesn't feature anyone on the '26 squad because they were already featured earlier RIGHT HERE. In this post, we're taking a look at standouts from the two other 18U teams that came to Broken Arrow and heads up, there's a lot of Jenks flavor in this one.

[player_tooltip player_id='492378' first='Deakon' last='Jones'] - 2027 Wide Receiver - Stillwater

Stillwater wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='492378' first='Deakon' last='Jones'] has been one of the state's top pass catchers since he was a freshman. So when he came out this weekend and dominated every time he stepped on the field, that shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody who has followed him over the last two seasons. Jones is a special talent that is another example of a player that makes spectacular plays and they just seem second nature to him. We've seen a few of those players come through over the last few years and Jones is the latest example of that. He made some really good catches that most receivers wouldn't be able to make this weekend. And that's a big reason why he's considered arguably the top wide receiver in a very talented 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1067472' first='Fisher' last='Lai'] - 2027 Defensive Back - Cascia Hall

Cascia Hall 2027 standout [player_tooltip player_id='1067472' first='Fisher' last='Lai'] is another prospect that's been on our radar since his freshman season. And Lai has been on that radar as a wide receiver prospect with the impact he's had with the Commandos during the fall. But while we were watching him this weekend, we saw one of the best cornerbacks in the tournament. Every time we watched Lai in person, he was locking down his opponent and he was making some pretty special plays to keep his man from making a catch. Lai has been a player that we've liked for a while now and we've known that he can impact the game in all three phases but we didn't know that his defensive abilities were as crisp as they are. We walked away from this weekend with a much higher opinion of Lai on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1030447' first='Kailib' last='Dillard'] - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Jenks

[player_tooltip player_id='1030447' first='Kailib' last='Dillard'] is the first of three Jenks Trojans to make this breakdown and similar to another one that we'll write about, Dillard made it for what he was able to do on the offensive and defensive side of the ball. Dillard is quickly turning into an overall athlete prospect because of his overall playmaking ability on the offensive side of the ball. But he's always been a special talent on defense at the safety position. With Dillard at one safety position and another Trojan at the other, this back end were able to literally be the safety valves of this defense when the cornerbacks would lose their man. Dillard had a strong weekend and is continuing to be a name that you need to know within this class. Jenks has a few of them moving forward but Dillard has earned that same respect.

[player_tooltip player_id='485894' first='Maddox' last='Young'] - 2028 Quarterback - Jenks

Jenks 2028 quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='485894' first='Maddox' last='Young'] has been firmly on our radar for about a year now. He first started standing out in these 7v7 tournaments around this time last year and he's continued to trend in the right direction since then. Young moved to Jenks in the spring of last year and could end up being their QB1 when they take the field this fall. But when we got a chance to watch them for a few games, he was showcasing the arm talent that you would want from a QB1. Young was placing the ball all over the field and was rarely putting it in a bad spot. He was either going to allow his receiver to make a play or it was going to fall harmlessly to the turf. And the accuracy didn't seem to be impacted by the level of throw as he was dropping dots all over the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='1192769' first='Nizyah' last='Abraham'] - 2027 Wide Receiver - Union

We came away very impressed with Union 2027 wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1192769' first='Nizyah' last='Abraham'] when we watched the third Sooner 7 squad. The thing that stood out the most was Abraham's drive and desire to get into the game and make plays. But a lot of players feel that way and then they get on the field and come up short. That wasn't the case for Abraham. He wanted to get into the game and when he finally did, he instantly made plays and made some big plays on Saturday specifically. Abraham was getting open at a consistent clip and made some big catches, including a handful of touchdowns. He thought he could make a difference and he certainly did. We didn't get to see much of this team in person but from what we saw, Abraham really stood out.

[player_tooltip player_id='478124' first='Semaj' last='Stanford'] - 2027 Wide Receiver/Defensive Back - Jenks

Our final standout from this weekend was arguably the top 2027 prospect in attendance and it didn't take long to figure that part out. We walked over to a field and saw Jenks standout [player_tooltip player_id='478124' first='Semaj' last='Stanford'] just running routes in warm ups and just doing that, he moved differently than everyone else on the field. Stanford is the ultimate safety blanket in every way because more times than not, he's going to be the best athlete on the field and more times than not, he's also going to be the smartest player on the field. Stanford can clean up a lot of things on both sides of the ball and there is no doubt that he is an absolute star. Jenks coaches can't say enough about him as a prospect and it's clear to see why. He's a unique talent with an incredibly high ceiling.
