We start with our new DB1 in the 2027 class which hails from the Magic City, in Minot High's [player_tooltip player_id='1285223' first='Anthony' last='Alexander']. Anthony was also a stockriser in this class, moving up a few spots, in a top tier of prospects, where moving up is hard to do. Anthony flies to the ball carrier like a man on a mission and I swear that happens everytime when I watch his sophomore tape. He shows off the best sideline to sideline presence in this 2027 class in the Dakotas as a prodominate nickel-back. At 5'11 190 pounds, Anthony is super wirey with his athletic movment and it won't take long to figure that out on his tape. Even though the reps in pass coverage are lighter, Anthony has always been a young man that in live evals you can tell relishes the attention to detail and points out ample range to play in the proper spot as one that I feel is a free safety at the next-level.

Coming in at the #9 overall spot, we head to Bismarck and meet defensive linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1328151' first='Anthony' last='McArthur-Morin'], who had himself a great winter at our Prep Redzone Dakotas and easily solidified a top 10 spot from what I got on his live eval. The 6'2 275 pounder from Bismarck, has excellent strength with his hands that he showed off in Aberdeen and nailed it too with his balance pad-level. Rolling the tape, you can't miss on the fluid athletic movement this defensive tackle has at his disposal as those barrelling hands don't take long to make their apperance. Anthony is also a quick identifer with his short area vision as a run stopper, as there is great persistent there from the backfield to the first two yards the ball carrier has the ball. He also has the eye-catching bend that should catch the eyes of college coaches this summer as one that could be a steady riser upcoming.

Our OL2 in the 2027 class in North Dakota keeps us in Bismarck in Century's [player_tooltip player_id='1292610' first='Peyton' last='Seil'], who yet again did some damage with the live eval this winter at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase. The college coaches I talked to, also verified they liked what they saw out of Peyton as the balance across the board from feet to hands intrigued plenty of folks with this kid which is probalby why he has landed so many camp invites already this winter. The tape shows plenty of consistency with what we saw in the Deen, has Peyton shows off a fluid punch that I love how well he finishes his blocks nearly every rep as the pad-level too is super balanced with his drive blocks. Peyton is also one the best angle blockers in the Dakotas in this 2027 class, as the 6'5 285 pounder is one I like as a Division I target.

Our ATH2 in this 2027 ND class, is one that stuck in our top 10 from the intial update in Fargo South's [player_tooltip player_id='1292632' first='Drew' last='Kessel']. After Drew's brother Reis Kessel (NDSU TE) was a late bloomer last summer we surely weren't wasting time after watching Drew on tape on adding him amongst our top tier of the 2027 rankings, especially with already being 6'7 as a sophomore. That big body already shows off an excellent catch radius that does not take long to stick out from our end with the athleticism that he brings the table. Drew also looks like a prospect that already has great instincts when you watch his hands find their way the ball regardless of where he lined up in the Bruins receiving core. I also love a wide receiver with the basketball background, as Drew is one that shows off consistently as one that uses all of his size to box out smaller athletes in the secondary to get front of the ball. Another D1 grade I will hand out in the top tier of targets in North Dakota.

I am old enough to remember when Ian's older brother Lucas (UND) was the North Dakota Player of the Year and Ian has surely been one that we have been on since he was a freshmen at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase, being in our top tier and then that spring, winning our DL MVP in Sioux Falls. The 6'2 280 pounder is the second trench monster we have in our top 10 out of Bismarck Century, and has some of the most instinctive shedding hands amongst the defensive tackle group in the Dakotas in this 2027 class. He also has one of the best first steps in the class and the balance in those steps can carry inside or outside. You can quickly tell Ian is one that watches his tape on the offensive linemen he goes up against, as the football IQ Ian has is excellent. Ian is yet another Division I target in this class surely in what is a DEEP top 10 in the North Dakota trenches.

Remaing as our top 2027 offensive linemen in North Dakota, is Fargo Davies [player_tooltip player_id='1292622' first='Mathieson' last='DuBord']. Another one that checks out as a quick angle blocker than I like the downhill momentum he possesses with his punch. For 6'4 310 pounds, Mathieson shows off a sound back-pedal with his footwork in pass protection is able to find his base quickly with his sound bend and pad-level. Mathieson is another 2027 that the interest has come around this winter and grades in my Division I tier.

Ethan is another 2027 target that proved he was due for a rise at our Prep Redzone Dakotas Showcase this winter, rising up as our DL MVP in Aberdeen. Moving from #6 to #4 in our top 10, Ethan's very instinctive hands and his plethora of moves, were noticable for me from the other end of the showcase this winter, which is impressive being that we had 140+ prospects in attendance. The 6'4 230 pounder from Minot North, put together some intriguing tape on both sides of the trenches and shows off all the agile movement you want to see at the next-level. On either side of the ball he has vicious hands, and moves more like a tight end when out in space as a pull blocker. The same can be said as an EDGE rusher for Ethan, as Ethan moves like a linebacker getting out of the inside box to run down a ball carrier. Ethan ran an impressive 4.69 40 yard dash at the UND Flagship camp last winter and although I cannot recall his numbers that showed off his change of direction, I remember them being great for his position in Grand Forks. Ethan was one of the biggest risers in this top 10 in the last several months in my eyes in one that could be the first Division I target for Minot North.

Brooks is our ATH1 in the 2027 class is one of two that hails from the newest members of 11AA, the Kindred Vikings. The Division I schools have made several visits to Kindred this winter to see Brooks, including NDSU, Kansas State, UND, Iowa State Northwestern to name just a few. In the live eval I got from Brooks in the 11A state championship game, I saw a prospect that has such a smooth football IQ that is clearly centered on both sides of the ball from my eyes. As a WR, he has super long strides and length with his catch radius in which if I were a D1 WR coach, I would watch that first clip on his sophomore tape often as his athleticism is outstanding. He is also not one you want to meet his athletic ability in the open field as one that has great field balance around the edges. His best fit positionally in my eyes points at wide receiver at the next-level, but I am surely surprised he doesn't have his first D1 offer yet for football as there is plenty to like skillsets wise for Brooks at the next-level.

Staying in our #2 overall spot with this 2027 update is Stanley defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1319906' first='Ben' last='Hynek']. The 6'6 240 pounder picked up his first power four offer from Wisconsin this winter and has noticably long length with his bend which is easy to see why Power fours have already been calling. Ben has some of the most violent hands I have seen off his sheds in the Dakotas and the persistence is surely there with that skillset. He also has very rangy athletic movement for all that size he has and can easily chase down a ball carrier from well outside the inside box, especially in the backfield. As a tight end, Ben looks like a man amongst boys with his route-running and heck, I was just as impressed with his blocking as a tight end as I found as defensive end which shows that the balance is excellent for this young man. I would expect nothing less than more Power four schools to get involved with Ben in the coming months.

Saving the best for last, we look at our consesus #1 overall prospect in North Dakota also hailing from Kindred, in defensive end [player_tooltip player_id='1027991' first='Luke' last='Starcevic']. Luke has offers from five schools thus far (3 power four, 2 FCS) and I am sure more are incoming in the coming months. He has absolute blasting hands off the snap and is another one in our top 10 that is super rangy getting out of the inside box to go make a tackle with all the physicality he offers consistently. His athletic movement processes like a man amongst boys in the defensive trenches as he is super fluid with his athletic movement. Watching some OL tape from Luke, his strides are super long to get down to pull-block on the other side of the line quickly. Huge summer upcoming for Luke for sure.
