Lawton MacArthur wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1045555' first='Joshua' last='Rushing'] is a prospect that it would be foolish to forget about as more wide receivers start to emerge in the 2026 class. A southern Oklahoma standout, Rushing is one of the best wide receivers in this class and it's been that way for a while now. Every time we've watched Rushing in person, he's been one of the best players on the field and he's incredibly to slow down in a 1 on 1 situation. The term "50-50 ball" gets brought up with receivers and for Rushing, no 50-50 ball ever feels like that much of a toss up. More times than not, it feels like the Lawton MacArthur standout is going to find a way to come down with it.

Owasso wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1217089' first='Tahkari' last='Bethel'] has been on our radar for a while now because of his work in various 7v7 tournaments. But he was still needing that breakout moment when the pads came on and it was Friday night in the fall. That came immediately in 2024. Bethel was the best player on the field when Owasso opened the season against Bixby. The 2026 standout would deal with some nagging injuries throughout the 2024 season, late in the year and that prevented him a bit but not enough to scare college coaches away. He's seen his recruitment really start to pick up over the last six months and it shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Looking up and down this breakdown, Hugo's [player_tooltip player_id='587266' first='Quincy' last='Shelton'] might be the 2026 prospect we've known the longest amount of time. We first got Shelton on our radar following his freshman season, where he earned a starting role and really hasn't let it go. Shelton has continued to work on his craft and he is legitimately one of the best overall playmakers in southeastern Oklahoma. He's been pretty consistent where he's fallen in the 2026 class, ranging anywhere from 10-20 and he has the offers to back up the hype. Shelton is one of the more reliable wide receiver threats in the state's 2026 class and he's been doing it since his freshman season in 2022.

Jenks wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='979658' first='Malakai' last='Dillard'] is another 2026 prospect that has been on our radar for a while now. Dillard was a breakout star in 2023, when he was a sophomore with Lincoln Christian. He emerged as their top target in the passing game and had a terrific year. He backed that up with a fantastic showing in the offseason at various 7v7 tournaments and we continued to buy more stock in the 2026 playmaker. Last offseason, he moved over to Jenks and immediately became a big part of what the Trojans did in the passing game. He was lethal going over the middle and just had a knack for finding the soft spots in the defense. His recruitment has steadily took off.

It was a little over a year ago that we started buying stock in Booker T Washington's [player_tooltip player_id='284116' first='Keynan' last='Farley'] and he's continued to grow as a prospect to know. Farley has all the physical tools to be an elite wide receiver and he's even starting to get some momentum as a potential defensive back. But every time we've watched Farley in person, he's been one of the best wide receivers on the field. He has the potential for being the best playmaking wide receiver in the state when it comes to a jump ball situation. He has terrific size and overall athleticism that makes him a match-up nightmare for opposing cornerbacks in a one on one situation, specifically in the red zone.

Broken Arrow's [player_tooltip player_id='402385' first='Tayshawn' last='Wade'] is a player that has been on our radar for a while now and it all started to come together during the 2024 season. Wade emerged as arguably Broken Arrow's top playmaking threat in the passing game and it's easy to see why. Wade is a big target that checks a lot of boxes when it comes to the wide receiver position. He has size, athleticism, reliable hands and playmaking ability. It's safe to say that Wade had his breakout moment during the 2024 season and he could be primed for an even bigger 2025 season. Wade feels like a 2026 prospect that could see his recruitment really start to take off at any moment.

Oklahoma had some really good wide receivers stand out during the 2024 season but Pocola wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='467141' first='Brayden' last='Hardwick'] is one near the top of the list. Hardwick put up monster numbers throughout the 2024 season and we were definitely impressed. Hardwick was one of Pocola's playmakers that was on our radar prior to the 2024 season but we certainly didn't think he was capable of leading the state in receiving and having some of the games that we ended up seeing from him. And the thing that really impresses us the most when you go back and look at his production, some of his best performances came against the toughest teams on the schedule.

Similar to Hardwick, Hilldale wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='382955' first='Brady' last='Scott'] was one of the best playmakers in the state in 2024 and if you don't buy that, you weren't paying attention. Scott was a true threat in all three phases of the game. He was a dynamic wide receiver that could score just about every time he touched the ball. He would make plays on the defensive side of the ball, forcing turnovers. Then he turned around and was one of the better kick returners in Class 4A. Simply put, Scott put together an All State-caliber season and deserves more respect around the state. Throw on the tape, look at the production, it's not a fluke, Scott is one of the better playmakers in this class.

Norman was one of the bigger surprise teams of the 2024 season and with that, came breakout seasons from different individuals. Wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='595689' first='Ryder' last='Murphy'] was one of those players and he's the perfect example of just how deep this 2026 WR class truly is. Murphy is outside of the top ten for this position but he definitely has the skillset and the production to be inside of it in most years. Murphy was terrific throughout the 2024 season and we're fired up to see how he continues that momentum into this offseason and carry it over to this fall. Murphy recently picked up his first offer from Air Force and that could end up being the first of many this offseason.

Grove wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1045560' first='Isaac' last='Sheffield'] is our final prospect on this breakdown and he's a guy that deserves more respect as a prospect in this class. Sheffield reminds us a lot of Tuttle's [player_tooltip player_id='215570' first='Brady' last='McAdoo'] over the last two years. I really good wide receiver that has deceiving athleticism and overall speed. You throw on the film from last fall and you see a player that can absolutely stretch the defense and beat a secondary by going deep. Then you see clips of him jumping out of the gym in basketball and the pieces are starting to come together. Sheffield deserves more credit in the 2026 class but we have a feeling that he's primed for a monster season and that credit should follow.
