My first choice to receive his first offer in the coming months is Pewaukee's [player_tooltip player_id='1226887' first='Cade' last='Reikowski']. I'm a big fan of this kid's highlights. At 6'7" 290 lbs, Cade looks the part of a D1 lineman. Then the tape starts rolling and high level traits starting jumping off the tape. First, the overwhelming power from his feet to his hands is outstanding. He delivers strong punches and seems to rag doll DL around once he clamps onto them. A more impressive trait for his size is his mobility. Over and over you see the 290 lbs OT be able to quickly position himself to always have the leverage vs his opponent. Whether that be getting into their chest quickly or having to get lateral so he can cut them off. The big man is able to get it done. I'm very excited to see how Cade performs this summer.

The first skill player that I am expecting to see earn their first offer in this Class is the WR/DB out of Catholic Memorial. Dustin is elite on both sides of the ball, making a huge impact on a team that appeared in the State Championship. He has a great frame for either an outside WR or safety. His ball skills from tracking/adjusting and making the catch are elite. The catches he makes throughout his sophomore season are unbelievable at times. Dustin also possesses the athletic profile of a D1 caliber skill player. Speed to get downfield or roam sideline to sideline. The body control to run crisp routes or turn and run at DB. Roach also clearly possesses that playmaker trait, which I describe as the ability to make the special, game-changing play look easy. Outside of the trenches, I firmly believe that Dustin should be the next athlete to earn a D1 offer.

The first choice among QBs to earn their first offer is Lake Mills' [player_tooltip player_id='1226894' first='Tyler' last='Wollin']. When you go skill by skill, Tyler is well on his way to checking a lot of things off. 6'3" 190 lbs frame looks the part, but also doesn't look like it is maxed out. Mechanically, you could include every Class in WI and Tyler would be battling for best in that area. You can click anywhere in his 13 minute long highlights and the throw is going to look the same from his feet to when the ball leaves his hand. That gives Wollin the most important ability when it comes to physical tools, and that is pinpoint accuracy to every level of the field. Tyler does so well with not just hitting his guy, but putting it where it is protected and the receiver can make a play right after the catch. Big things are ahead for this kid. Can't wait to see who will be the first to offer.

Hunter has quickly become one of my favorite athletes in this Class. A big reason why, and also a big reason why I think he will grab a lot of attention this summer, is because of the huge improvement he made from freshman to sophomore year. Across the board too. He is bigger. He is far more athletic, pulling or getting out in space to crush DBs. His body control has made huge strides allowing him to be able to recover from a bad body angle or stumble while engaged. His flexibility in his lower body has also made huge strides and that has allowed him to play with more leverage and be able to mirror pass rushers in pass pro. Showing he can make these massive strides will show coaches that he has a high ceiling and should really peak their interest in him.

Another member of this elite OL group that will not surprise me in the least to see him earn his first offer is Bay Port's [player_tooltip player_id='1226880' first='David' last='Provost']. The sophomore already has a ton of varsity experience where he has more than held his own. David has the frame of a D1 recruit with room to continue to pack on the size and strength going forward. On tape you have to love how quick he is out of his stance, allowing him to get into the chest of his man and win the leverage battle consistently. David also does a great job with his mobility while engaged with a DL to stay square on them, and also when moving from that level one block up to an LB to secure the alley for his RB. If David can come out to camps and show that his power has continued to progress I think he is going to make a lot of coaching staffs confident that he can play at that D1 level in the future. Check out the impressive tape from the '27 OG as he helped his varsity team earn their first D1 State Championship this past fall!

Another OT that needs to be in this article is Waterford's [player_tooltip player_id='1227023' first='Peyton' last='Schuster']. Peyton has been a varsity starter since his freshman year, but in 2024 is when he really started showing he is building his way towards being a D1 athlete. He has a budding, growing 6'6" 265 lbs frame. Most importantly, the tape shows that he can play fast and react quickly at that size. Peyton's pass protection is just as much of a strength as his run blocking where he simply overpowers and bulldozes DL off the ball. In pass pro we really see that balance as he quickly reacts to moves, and counter moves while staying square over his feet and powerful. He uses his length so well to make first contact and has the power in his hands to control the path of the rusher. I'm hoping to see Peyton in action this summer to see how he has improved since we last saw him in December.

We wrap up with the only athlete in this article who didn't play on varsity in 2024. Yet the talented WR out of Mukwonago still needs to be included in this topic. Max's time will come on Friday nights, and I have a feeling this summer he is going to show that the time is now. In 2024 Max did what a top talent has to do vs lower level competition. Dominate. You see him get deep, soar over DBs to high point the ball, make strong catches through traffic. All things that if he can show vs top DBs at camps will very quickly turn the right eyes towards him. Max is a very smooth athlete too who can flip a switch and make defenders miss 1 on 1 or lower his shoulder and rip through arm tackle attempts. I'm very excited to see Baehman vs more competition this summer and into the fall. A breakout year is in the near future.
