2027 Rankings Update- More Exciting Additions to Our Class

Our new 2027 Rankings Update is live! To roll out our new class, we want to cover some of our newest additions across the state!   Today, we are going to look at our BLANK! These guys put together impressive seasons last fall- be sure to watch their tape below!    [player_tooltip player_id='1589078' first='Ray' last='Bender'] has been incredibly productive for Southern Choctaw all over the field, making plays at QB, RB, WR, and on defense.   Bender was all over the field for Southern Choctaw last season- ending the year completing 26/41 pass attempts for 407 yards and 4 touchdowns, 126 carries for 720 yards and 11 touchdowns on the ground, 4 receptions for 56 yards in the air, and 17 total tackles on defense. Bender is an exciting prospect in the making and has put together some great film, give him a watch below!      [player_tooltip player_id='1544159' first='Jaxson' last='Dixon'] is a really exciting prospect out of Foley who's made tons of plays on offense and defense as a shutdown DB and explosive WR. Dixon has changing speed no matter where he lines up, he can completely flip the field at a moment's notice and it's not hard to see on tape- he frequently takes short passes to the house while also being able to threaten defenses over the top downfield with how athletic he is. Dixon gains terrific separation in the passing game- he's quick, runs great routes, and can beat DBs anywhere on the field. Dixon utilizes his athleticism similarly on defense- he can cover a wide variety of WR and has a great set of hands he uses to break up and pick off passes. It's been seriously impressive watching Dixon's ability to play both sides of the ball as well as he has, he's a talented prospect in the making set up for a huge junior year this fall. Dixon was excellent all of last season, making huge plays against some talented teams across the state. Be sure to watch his tape down below, he will be a must-watch player next season!      [player_tooltip player_id='1608865' first='Jarrod' last='Crook'] is a really talented prospect out of W.S Neal that has brought a ton of skill to his team's offense and defense, especially last fall. On offense, Crook is a highly athletic QB who thrives off his mobility- he can make defenses pay with his speed and scrambling ability, no matter where his offense is located on the field. Whether it's on a designed run or not, Crook can leave defenders in the dust and creates huge runs with his legs in some crucial moments. As a passer, Crook does a great job scanning the field and finding open targets- he throws a really accurate ball and hits his WRs perfectly in stride, consistently moving the ball downfield in the passing game. On defense, Crook is seriously reliable at DB and can make tons of plays aginst the run and pass- he's terrific at reading and reacting to plays, coming away with some huge stops for his defense. Crook has put together some really impressive tape from his sophomore season, and is definitely going to be a player we watch out for this fall- take a look at his film below, he won't disappoint!      [player_tooltip player_id='1583465' first='Gus' last='Faulkner'] shows a ton of promise in Fairhope's defense going into next season, he flew around the field last fall and made tons of plays at OLB against some talented rushing and passing attacks across the state. Faulkner is really productive off-ball and can cause a ton of issues for offenses out in coverage- it's really impressive watching him fly around the field to break up passes, with his size he presents a ton of matchup issues against TEs/RBs. Faulkner is also great at defending the run, he is excellent at reading and reacting to plays, consistently putting himself in great position to fill in gaps and take down the ball carrier no matter where he initially lines up. It's going to be really exciting watching Faulkner this upcoming season, he's already put together some really impressive tape and shows no signs of slowing down- be sure to check out his film below!      [player_tooltip player_id='1285211' first='Kendarius' last='Spence'] is a key piece of Lannet's defense, providing terrific play at LB for them all of last season against the run and pass. Although slightly undersized, Spence more than makes up for it with his understanding of opposing offenses and his assignments. He is a terrific run defender- and a lot of that is due to his play-recognition skills. Spence is excellent at reading and reacting to plays, leading to some great run fits for his defense- he consistently meets RBs in the gap and wraps them up, consistently making tackles at and behind the line of scrimmage for his defense. Spence can also be used as a blitzer, he does a great job coming downhill and generates great pressure on the opposing QB, leading them into bad decisions his teammates can capitalize off of. Be sure to watch Spence next season, he's got a lot of potential and has already put together some great film you can watch below!      [player_tooltip player_id='1229458' first='Marcus' last='Briggs'] is a speedy WR out of McAdory who has made a ton of splash plays for his offense and special teams unit the past two seasons. Briggs is electric with the ball in his hands and makes the most of his opportunities- he plays with a ton of speed and twitch, taking advantage of slower defenses in tons of different ways. Briggs can take jet sweeps to the house, fly downfield and make big grabs, and open up tons of opportunities for his teammates with the attention he commands. It's really impressive watching Briggs play kick returner as well- he has great vision, avoids huge hits, and consistently puts his team in terrific starting field position. I'm really impressed with Briggs' versatility and speed at both positions- it's going to be fun seeing what he does this next season for McAdory.
