Bender is ranked here at PRZAL, but this is actually my first look at him personally. I am a fan of how this kid plays, and eager to track him as he continues to fill out and get bigger. He is a smaller, speedy skat back who generates explosives and creates yards. Twitchy runner in space who can weave and cut across the face of defenders. He is quick to his top gear and holds it enough to separate from his level of comp. Productive player with fun tape to watch.

Ray Bender Ray Bender 5'8" | 150 lbs | RB/WR Southern Choctaw | 2027 State AL is a dynamic runner who blends quickness with competitive toughness. He shows excellent lateral agility and can redirect quickly in traffic. Bender’s burst allows him to capitalize on small creases and turn them into big gains. He plays faster than his size and consistently fights for extra yards. In space, he’s elusive and forces missed tackles. Bender also shows comfort catching the football out of the backfield. His motor runs hot and never drops late in games. He projects as a versatile offensive weapon who can be moved around the formation.

Ray Bender Ray Bender 5'8" | 150 lbs | RB/WR Southern Choctaw | 2027 State AL is a talented RB/WR out of Southern Choctaw who has become a huge piece of his team’s offense in a short amount of time.

Bender is an explosive prospect who plays with a ton of speed and twitch out of the backfield. He has great acceleration and makes quick, sharp cuts to make defenders miss can completely exploit opposing defenses with his speed.

Bender runs hard. He has great contact balance, isn’t taken down easily, and has a combination of speed and power that is extremely tough to stop. Crazy enough, Bender also has some talent as a passer- he delivers the ball around the field with good accuracy and found the endzone several times last season throwing the ball.

Bender had a huge sophomore season, ending the year completing 26/41 passes for 407 yards and 4 TDs, 126 carries for 720 yards and 11 TDs on the ground, and 4 receptions for 56 yards.
