2027 DB's Making A Leap

This 2027 DB class across the state is loaded up with some dawgs! Take a look at five defensive backs that are on a rapid upward trajectory:    Davis has seen that offer list sky rocket throughout the month of January, becoming one of the state's highest recruited prospects this month, bringing his total offers up to 18, with most recent offers coming from Vanderbilt, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, USC, and Miami. Davis possesses elite closing speed while staying glued to receivers hips, and did a terrific job following motion across the field and keeping leverage. Twitchy, bouncy kid that changes direction in a split second without hesitation- and has the range to patrol the back half as a FS if needed. Excellent eye discipline with great ball skills, as he is rapidly continuing to become a dangerous player.     Miles is a kid that I think is prone to blow up anytime now, as he passes the initial eye test and has all the physical tools to go along with it- as it's only a matter of time until the flood gates open on this kid. Excellent length as he sizes up with a 6'3" 180lb frame with room to add mass. Rangy FS that did a great job patrolling the back half and showcased excellent ball skills and instincts, and is a willing tackler with a low POC. He was a dynamic piece for Central last year (recently transferred to Cesar Chavez), flashing the ability to be dangerous with the ball in his hands as they used him in a variety of ways. Miles currently holds offers from Texas State and UNLV.     Carothers is going to be a kid to keep an eye on, as he does not currently hold an offer- but is much deserving of one. He sizes up with a 6'1" 170lb frame and plays fast and physical, frequently flying in with a low POC. Good ball skills as well as he's shown the ability to fight and punch through the hands of opponents or adjust his body in different angles to snag picks. They used him as a Safety in a 2-high look where he seemed to have a great understanding of various responsibilities, and his ability to match up both physically and athletically against either TE's or slot's provides him with a big upside. A raw talent with excellent coaching- especially within his position group with coach Billy Carter, get Carothers on your board now as a sleeper to pop off in 2025.     Eason should see a jump in his stock here sometime soon, as he recently picked up an offer from San Diego State and holds a previous offer from Arizona State. He's a slender, twitched up CB with excellent speed and burst that excelled in Man coverage for Higley. Loose hips with a quick transition out of his back pedal to break on the ball. Violent hands as he does an excellent job punching and keeping receivers at arms length when pressed up- and fights through blocks to fly up and blow up screens or fill run when needed- and does so with a fast low point of contact.     Solomon is a dynamic, pure all around football player that does all of the little things right. He can be a nightmare on blitz packages as he'll take away the edges and either blow up ball carriers or force them inside, or get skinny and fly through gaps. Very good in coverage with the ability to come up and play press man, sit back 7-9 yards deep in Man, or cover ground with his speed in zone. Solid ball skills all around as well as it comes naturally to his athleticism. Sound, fundamental tackler that has flashed the ability to explode through opponents hips. The play speed, football IQ, and physicality are all things that are at the top of the checklist, so I expect Solomon's stock to shoot up.
