Elkhorn's [player_tooltip player_id='1573578' first='Eli' last='Betz'], who opened many eyes after earning the starting right tackle position, claims the top spot in the initial 2028 rankings. At 6'6" and 280 pounds, Eli already has a frame that will draw tons of attention from high-level programs. What catches my attention about Eli is that, along with his next-level size, he also possesses great athleticism, which goes from his footwork to his ability to reach second-level defenders. He plays with a solid mean streak that drives him to be aggressive at the point of attack and to finish blocks in the dirt. He has strong hands and a great understanding of winning inside leverage against his opponent. Lots of potential with P4 upside.

If I blindly turned on Carter's tape and you told me he was a senior, I would totally believe you, that's how well the freshman 'backer was playing this season. Lincoln Christian's [player_tooltip player_id='1590682' first='Carter' last='Hiatt'] wasted zero time inserting himself into the starting lineup, where he racked up 92 tackles, four TFLs, and two sacks. Carter is a player who catches your attention immediately with his big 6'2" and 215-pound frame that looks like a throwback thumper at inside linebacker. He is a cerebral player who uses his quick instincts and football IQ to make smart plays while also playing with a relentless motor that keeps him running from snap to whistle. Great use of hands to disengage from blockers.

Although there isn't a ton of tape on Bellevue West's [player_tooltip player_id='1590728' first='Micah' last='Santiago'], it's hard not to see his combination of size, strength, and motor and not be intrigued in him as a prospect. In the clips available, you can see Micah shoot out of his stance and explode through his hands with a powerful initial strike. He also showed nice leverage and a strong anchor to help drive linemen off the ball. Santiago is a player to buy stock in now as he's only going to continue developing and working out the raw aspects of his game.

The tight-end talent coming out of Nebraska has been impressive in recent years, and Lincoln Standing Bear's [player_tooltip player_id='1573580' first='Paul' last='Hart'] looks like he's next in line. Hart is a big-framed target who can create instant mismatches no matter where you line him up. He has shown that he can use his size to "out-physical" his opponents at the catch point. Hart also displayed the athleticism and twitch to create separation from defenders with his routes and can adjust his body to make difficult catches outside of his frame. He has lots of upside as a pass rusher as well, where he can use his length and bend to wreak havoc coming off the edge.

The Eagles have a ton of interesting young talent in their underclassmen group. One player who emerged as a budding star this season is freshman [player_tooltip player_id='1590700' first='Yasir' last='Grixby'], who looks to be Central's next two-way high-profile prospect. Grixby is one of those players you want to get the ball to and let him create plays with his athleticism. He looked good at receiver, where he displayed strong hands and great burst/twitch after the catch to tack on extra yardage. Yasir also flashes some solid route running that helps him create separation from defenders at the top of his route. Grixby ended his freshman campaign with 23 catches, 425 yards, two receiving touchdowns, and a rushing touchdown.
