Yesterday afternoon, braving the cold and hazardous weather that comes with a January in Minnesota, the state saw a talented 7v7 showdown pop off between E7United and the Hitmen, hosted in the Brooklyn Park Dome at Park Center High School. With each program bringing a 15U and 18U side, PrepRedzoneMN was able to get our eyes on a boatload of talent across four grade levels, including some very high-profile freshman targets that soon will be gracing the upper echelons of the introductory 2028 rankings. Before the games ended early due to a sideline collision between a player and a toddler (scary situation, hope the kid is ok, please watch your small children that these events, I've seen a ton of small kids ran over and ran into over the years), PRzMN was able to give you exclusive access to the contest's biggest standouts and top performers. Dig in!

Overall MVP: Sema'j Young (Robbinsdale Cooper/Hitmen) WR.

The Robbinsdale Cooper junior playmaker was nothing short of fantastic on Saturday and easily the MVP of the 7v7 matchup. I believe the 2026 playmaker had 4 TDs in the Hitmen's first four or five drives, and he proved himself to be a reliable, consistent, competitive, and dynamic weapon who could align all over the offensive backfield with success. I saw Young carve up each and every DB he came across at one of this past summer's Minnesota Gophers prospect camps, and he was in similar form yesterday in Brooklyn Park. Young is a great route runner who is filthy at the top of the route, with excellent quickness, COD ability, and nuance. He got open with ease and with consistency, and showed that he was strong at the catch point and when playing the ball in the air, reeling in a couple of receptions through tight coverage and contest. Once Young was locked in and really finding success, he only turned up the heat, scorching the E7United defense all game long. Sema'j Young is your PrepRedzoneMN MVP from yesterday's 7v7 showdown.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633430' first='Rashid' last='Karim'] (Champlin Park/E7United) 2027. 6'2, 175 lbs. DB.

An obvious eye-catcher in the underclassmen ranks, Karim had noticeably long arms and was a legit 6'2 when standing next to him. He had a great frame to continue adding weight, and also proved himself to be quick out of his breaks and disruptive at the catch point, largely thanks to his overall length. I saw him break up more than his fair share of passing attempts throughout the day and was a standout in the younger ranks for E7United.

[player_tooltip player_id='1651164' first='Tre' last='Moore'] (Hopkins/Hitmen) 2028. 5'11, 150 lbs. QB.

Couldn't have been more excited when I found out that the stud QB I had just watched tear up a 7v7 defense was none other than future 2028 #1 prospect [player_tooltip player_id='1651164' first='Tre' last='Moore']. The Hitmen 15U offense was humming and noticeably in-tune and efficient with Moore at the helm, and he did a get job of both stretching the field vertically thanks to his strong arm as well as hitting the routine first and second-level throws with accuracy and timing. Moore was also able to fit the ball into tight coverage windows thanks to his zip and accuracy and showed a couple off-platform completions for good measure. Obvious arm talent and gamechanger playing in the underclassmen ranks. I would have loved to see this dude against 18U DBs.

Alpha Meaway (Brooklyn Center/Hitmen) 2028. 5'8, 150 lbs. ATH.

Another 2028 heavy hitter, the Hitmen have done a great job of consolidating freshman talent at and near the top of the class of 2028, and Meaway showed why he was head and shoulders above his peers as a young buck. Meaway had both an INT and an exciting TD catch deep downfield that I saw, and he was a good route runner with shake in his releases and soft hands to go along with impressive ball skills. Productive on both sides of the ball, Meaway is another kid who could have been running against 18U competition and held his own. Pumped to have gotten a first look at the budding talent out of Brooklyn Center High School.

[player_tooltip player_id='1547329' first='Phillip' last='Moita'] (Eden Prairie/Hitmen) 2027. 6'4, 180 lbs. QB/ATH.

The biggest and best built of the 15U players on either side of the 7v7 matchup, Moita was an immediate eye-catcher thanks to his tall, long fame and big arm at the quarterback position. He was definitely raw, and was inconsistent in his delivery, but there's obvious athleticism with big upside thanks to that frame and young age. With a basketball background and attending the perennial heavyweight that is Eden Prairie, it's hard not to think about what he could do at another position, but no matter what he's a literal big name to know in the MN 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='1665908' first='Treyvonni' last='Hoskins'] (Robbinsdale Cooper/Hitmen) 2027. TE/LB.

Not positive on a size, but Hoskins, who I'm assuming is the younger brother of 2025 Cooper OT [player_tooltip player_id='234873' first='Jeramiah' last='Hoskins'], a hulking 6'5, 340 lber., and if that's the case you can bet your butt the younger Hoskins is going to keep growing throughout high school. He was already a well-filled prospect with the 15U squad and knew how to use his big body and nimble feet to create separation as a route runner and finish catches through contact. Interested to see how he continues to develop.

*unfortunately, due to the child being run over on the sideline, I was unable to get the name of a Hitmen WR/DB with blond hair wearing #6. If someone knows who that player is please reach out.

[player_tooltip player_id='234879' first='Aaron' last='Kroese'] (Eden Prairie/E7United) 2025. WR/DB. 5'10, 155 lbs.

Kroese is deserving of being ranked in the state's 2025 class and showed why on Saturday, proving to be the bright spot on the E7United and scoring the lone TD of the day. Kroese was quick, able to play on both sides of the ball, and showed some serious ball skills when the rock was in the air. Has some noticeable muscle definition and brings a high-technique background coming from the Eden Prairie Eagles. Also, I wasn't able to get the name of an E7United player with pink gloves who was wearing #24. If someone has his information please DM me on Twitter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1602736' first='CJ' last='Roberts'] (Breck/Hitmen) 2026. 6'1, 185 lbs. DB/WR.

In the running for one of the most physically developed players at the entire 7v7 event, Roberts was a thick, powerful, and physically defined 185-190 pounds. And he knew how to use it. Playing as both a high safety as well as out of the slot, he was a noticeably menacing defensive presence in coverage who QBs rarely targeted. However, when they did, Roberts made his reads quickly, showed quickness out of his breaks, and was instinctive in coverage. Also showed good range as a free safety and physical at the catch point. I love this dude's junior tape and am bullish on the Breck product as a collegiate prospect.

Ali Farfan (St. Paul Johnson/Hitmen) 2026. 6'1, 170 lbs. QB.

The Hitmen QB1 had quite the showing on Saturday afternoon. It took a little bit for him to get in the grove and find a rhythm, but when the 651 product did, he was slinging the rock all over the field with seemingly no route on the route tree off limits. Farfarn showed great touch, rifled the ball into a couple of tight coverage windows, particularly in the redzone and near the goal line, and made good decisions with the football. I liked how he read and processed the field and he could whip it when he had to. Strong showing from the Governors' gunslinger.

[player_tooltip player_id='1049987' first='James' last='Fitch'] (Champlin Park/Hitmen) 2027. 6', 170 lbs. CB.

First off, props to Fitch for playing with 18U, as his age and graduating class qualified him to run with the young bucks. However, after you watch this kid play, it makes sense as to why he'd play up a level of competition. Fitch was a focused, ultra-competitive, and physical press corner who relished man coverage and the opportunity to put his hands on an opponent. The Champlin Park sophomore was also lock down in coverage, showing good timing in his punch at the LOS and physicality and quickness when breaking on a receiver's route. He had a couple of good PBUs on short and intermediate routes and had the speed to easily stay on top of receivers going vertically. Fitch had a very strong showing at one of this summer's Minnesota Gophers prospect camps, so this is nothing new to the young buck. Must-know name in the MN 2027 DB class.

RJ Klee (Park Center/Hitmen) 2026. 5'11, 165 lbs. WR/DB.

A dynamic two-way contributor, Klee had one of the competition's best plays, snagging an INT right out of a receiver's hands in a beautiful display of bounce and contested catch ability, not to mention coverage skills. Klee also had multiple catches throughout the afternoon and showed he could create separation and move the chains as a wideout. Balanced skillset from the Park Center athlete.

[player_tooltip player_id='1120562' first='Lincoln' last='Ribnick'] (Minneapolis Southwest/Hitmen) 2027. 5'10, 150 lbs. WR/DB.

Nice to see some representation from my alma mater! Ribnick is another prospect who deserves recognition for playing up a level of competition, as his 2027 status would allow him to play against the young bucks, but the WR/DB showed why he was a varsity starter for the 5A Lakers. Ribnick was aggressive, showed quick feet and some quality as a route runner, and had a TD catch later in the ball game to extend the Hitmen's lead. Ribnick played and moved far above what his graduating class would suggest when playing against mostly seniors.
