8 Lowkey Stops For Coaches to Make This Contact Period

Georgia high schools are being invaded by college coaches during this contact period. Offers are being fired left and right, but there are still some players and schools that warrant stops for coaches at all levels, despite being a little off the radar. Here are 8 schools and several of their prospects that fit that mold.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">West Forsyth</h2>    Hyrbu, a 6'6 255 OT with a wrestling background, is a lottery-ticket OT prospect with impressive traits. On a past eval, I cited his quickness in his pass set and his ability to use his length to redirect and manipulate defenders as major plusses. He is a fleet athlete who can pull and is used as a lead blocker in the open field. He is light on his feet, allowing him to shuffle and mirror pass rushers. His upside is hard to argue against given he is only 255. Given his traits, coaches need to at least see him up close.     Given his physical traits, it's a bit surprising to see how under the radar Walraven has fallen. He improved as a junior and had his most efficient year yet as a passer, while still being a threat with his legs. Walraven is a true dual threat who runs like a deer in space. He does a good job of stepping up and out to avoid pressure while also directing traffic and pinpointing open receivers while working off-script. He is more of a touch thrower, which I can confirm with several in-person exposures. He is paper thin, so more velocity can be added to his ball as he bulks up. Walraven is a fleet mover with more than enough physical traits for D1 programs to harness.     Sacchetti, a three-sport athlete (baseball and wrestling), holds a pair of Ivy League offers and is an anchor on the defensive front for West Forsyth. Sacchetti looks to understand leverage very well, as shown in his anchor when he is battling for footing with blockers. He uses his length to press blockers off his chest and engulf ball carriers between the tackles. There is ample room for physical growth here. Given his long limbs and lightweight, Sacchetti projects to play on the interior once he fully fills out. Anthony plays mostly corner, but might project best long-term as a safety. He is physical at the point of attack and uses his length to crowd and manipulate receivers. He aggressively drives on the ball and strikes with good pad-level, attacking the trunk of ball carriers. Coaches might want to see him run in person during camp season, but an early Oregon State offer makes him someone to watch.     Kameron Ghant was an all-region performer at DL, TE, and P in 2024. He generated explosive plays as a TE, but he projects best as a DL. He carries his weight well and is a candidate to slide inside if there is optimal room to fill out. He is a patient edge setter, uses his length to press blocks, and flashes a hot motor to the football. Ghant is a strong, heavy-handed DL projection who has a lot of snaps to his name headed into his senior season.     Here is my eval on Prince-Oyakhire from last month:   "[player_tooltip player_id='1684262' first='Israel' last='Prince-Oyakhire'] is another young Shiloh DB with solid measurables and some of his best football ahead of him. He plays mostly safety but will shade over receivers in the slot at times. He has a super smooth backpedal and gets plenty of depth with it. He reacts well to in-breaking route concepts and clicks downhill quickly. He might move a little awkwardly when coming downhill, but he takes good angles and accelerates nicely right upon contact. He is a verified track athlete and I bet he adds another top gear athletically as he fills into his frame."    Other Names to Watch   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>'26 OLB/S [player_tooltip player_id='1325794' first='Royal' last='Weber'] - 6'2 200</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>26 WR/TE Isaiah Johnson - 6'4 200</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>'26 OG Moustapha Berte - 6'2 280</li> </ul>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Winder-Barrow</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1090758' first='Demetrius' last='Dowdy'] broke school records this fall on his way to becoming a noteworthy 2026 RB prospect in GA. Here is an eval on him following a near 350-yard performance:   "It was an unbelievable performance for [player_tooltip player_id='1090758' first='Demetrius' last='Dowdy']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/demetrius-dowdy/"></a> against Habersham Central, rushing for a school-record 347 yards while punching in 5 TDs. As you can imagine, he was unstoppable. He played with outstanding patience and frequently made his way through openings without being touched. He was too athletic and slippery to be caught, but it was his vision that helped him play well, frequently locating and taking advantage of cut-back lanes. Dowdy already has D1 offers under his belt, but his record-breaking performance raised his stock even more. Hats off to his offensive line, as they played at an elite level."     Glasper was practically unguardable at times as a junior and emerged as the go-to threat at WR. He is a lanky, thin prospect who skates around the field. He runs 11.6 in the 100M and flashes breakaway speed to beat angles down the field. He is smooth at release points and works through multiple phases of movement without lagging. For a thinner guy, there is enough evidence on tape to be confident in his ability to win jump balls when he adds weight. Glasper is a smooth mover, contributes at all levels of the field, and has plenty of room for bulking left. I would absolutely consider Glasper a D1 WR prospect.     Munoz is the definition of a mismatch threat. He makes even adequately built DBs look small, and he consistently won above the rim as a sophomore. He showcases outstanding focus and sticky mitts all over tape, allowing for spectacular grabs in traffic. He is a long strider still developing some quick twitch to his game, but he doesn't need much separation anyway to win given his verticality. Munoz is an obvious mismatch threat in the red zone and is worthy of an eval from schools across all levels given his traits.     [player_tooltip player_id='1589339' first='Giovanni' last='Tuggle'] has quickly emerged as one of the premier 2028 players in the state. I've had college programs use words and phrases like "unreal" and "unheard of for his age" when describing his game. Tuggle exhibits absolutely elite verticality, dropping jaws with his ability to climb the ladder and play above the rim. On top of that, he effortlessly glides around the field and closes space to ball carriers with ease. Tuggle will push blue chip status and he is just scratching the surface of what he's capable of.    Other Players to Watch   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>'26 ATH Xavier McCoy - 5'10 195</li> </ul>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Allatoona</h2>    It's well said at this point, but [player_tooltip player_id='1201831' first='Xavier' last='Rucker'] is one of my favorite 2026 RBs in the state. He leverages the rare ability to efficiently create yards in every way possible with impressive GPS metrics and requisite measurables to play RB at a high level. He holds FBS offers, but I am still waiting for P4 schools to get involved.     John Arnold is a highly productive DB prospect with a multi-sport background. While he looks to be on the featherweight side regarding his frame, he flashes outstanding ball skills on tape. He plays with the instincts and awareness to read, react, get to a spot, and play through the hands of receivers. He always looks to be in the right place at the right time, and has the hands to execute when the ball comes his way. He is a smooth athlete who gets good depth on his backpedal and effortlessly opens up to run to a spot. Arnold is a sleeper, but producing against the ball translates to the next level. There are several small schools who will be more than happy to get Arnold in their class next year.     Michael Odinjor is a breakout player from this past fall who is starting to grow into his frame. Now listed at 6'1 200, the physical measurements required to play LB at the next level are certainly evident. On tape, he flashes the power to stun blockers and completely halt the downhill momentum of ball carriers. He is explosive and plays with a fiery pursuit of the football. When you combine his athletic and physical traits with the sheer violence and hustle in his game, you have yourself an LB prospect with an FBS upside.    Other Names to Watch   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>'26 RB Ethan Corpus - 5'10 190</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>'26 OL AJ Forde - 6'2 315</li> </ul>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">North Atlanta</h2>    Here is my recent eval on Ellenburg:   "Sure-handed WR prospect with some of the more impressive route-running and pure pass-catching tape out of all the TEs in Georgia this fall. Only came away with 18 receptions on the year, but showed solid explosiveness off the line, snappiness at the top of his routes, and the hands to control the ball through contact. Doesn't show a whole lot of reps of in-line blocking, but has room to add to his tall frame and bulk up. Ellenburg is absolutely a strong senior breakout candidate."     With early offers from FBS programs, most notably Auburn, Willingham has already emerged as one of the premier 2028 prospects in the state. Willingham flashed from his first game on the HS scene, showcasing his ball skills and range with an impressive INT and some physical tackles against Kell. His length, range, and instincts flashed as a freshman, consistently finding himself in positions to make plays on the football. All while proving difficult to separate against. Willingham is only going to improve as he makes jumps physically, meaning he hasn't even started to play his best ball. Here is my most recent eval:   "He plays both ways for Upson-Lee and shines on both sides of the ball. On offense, he is a blazer who has a knack for threatening the field vertically. He is naturally a mismatch thanks to his speed, but he is deceptive enough to get DBs guessing and sudden enough to slingshot at the top of his routes. He has fiery feet at release points, which he uses to overwhelm DBs. For a smaller guy, ball skills and contested catch ability are a plus. He has a smaller catch radius, but he maximizes it by leaping to pluck the ball above his head or picking it off the dirt."     [player_tooltip player_id='1201795' first='Malachi' last='Character'] is a versatile two-way player who was highly productive as a rusher and a tackler in 2024. He is now listed up to 6'1 208 and should be viewed as a LB projection. He is super thin in his limbs, possessing room to fill out. For a thinner guy, he takes on contact well from blockers and is capable of willing his way off blocks. He will also dodge blockers. He has plenty of range in the second level, galloping sideline to sideline. While thinner, he isn't afraid to stick his head into contact and strike. Character holds two D1 offers and is a late riser candidate.    Other Names to Watch   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>'27 OL [player_tooltip player_id='1590153' first='Landen' last='Holloway'] - 6'4 300</li> </ul>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Worth County</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='1090740' first='Kaden' last='Chester'] is a stout RB who was highly productive as a rusher and a receiver in 2024. He can stop on a dime and change directions with ease, and he certainly isn't afraid to drop his shoulder and take on contact. His feet are active, giving him access to multiple running lanes and making him tougher to bring down. I expect Chester to have another productive season as a senior.     Worthy is a highly prolific QB who has produced since his freshman season. He is super long and lanky, offering plenty of room for growth. He plays with good mechanics in the pocket, stepping into his throws and climbing to evade pressure. Worthy has plenty of life on the ball, but does an excellent job of manipulating touch and dropping the ball into hard to reach areas. He flashes some toughness when hanging back in the pocket as well. Worthy can drop the ball on a dime and should start sneaking onto some recruiting boards.    Other Names to Watch   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>'26 ATH Tre'shaun Jones - 5'10 195</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>'26 WR/TE Jayden Farley - 6'1 185</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>'27 ATH Daylon Smith - 5'10 165</li> </ul>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>'27 DB Tray Matthews - 5'10 155</li> </ul>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Newnan</h2>    [player_tooltip player_id='283902' first='Rodney' last='Colton'] is one of the best players in Georgia, regardless of position. Colton's elite athleticism gives him access to the entire field. He can roam the field in coverage just as easily as he can rush the passer off the edge. He closes to the football in the blink of an eye and hits hard with good pad-level at contact. There is clear reason to be excited about [player_tooltip player_id='283902' first='Rodney' last='Colton'] and he has the tools to contribute quickly at the P4 level.     Josiah Smith is another second-level Newnan defender with FBS offers under his belt. In his own right, he is an intriguing prospect whose explosiveness and violence pops off the screen. He is on the shorter side, but compensates with his range and speed to contact. He pairs his elite athletic traits with impressive pursuit skills and energy at contact. Smith could project and play a number of spots on defense and should be viewed as a run and chase defender.     Here is my most recent eval on [player_tooltip player_id='1544909' first='Brodie' last='Campbell'], who I think is one of the best 2027 QBs in the state:   "[player_tooltip player_id='1544909' first='Brodie' last='Campbell']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/brodie-campbell/"></a> is a ranked baseball player in GA in the 2027 class and I believe he will pick up some recruiting buzz on the gridiron this offseason. There are plenty of developmental traits for college coaches to harness. For starters, he is tall and has room to add more weight, which will only make him a more durable force in the pocket and give him more velo on the football. He is still developing fundamentally, but even without perfect mechanics, he has enough juice in his arm to muscle the ball outside the numbers on the far side of the field. His touch and timing are advanced for his age, frequently throwing receivers open and giving them room to run after the catch. On top of his developmental traits, he has starting experience as an underclassman and was excellent throughout his sophomore season. I wouldn't be shocked to see Campbell pick up FBS recruiting buzz this offseason."     [player_tooltip player_id='1524561' first='Ashton' last='Lawless'] turned some heads this fall as a freshman and broke onto the P4 radar as a result. Here is my eval from a few months ago:   "[player_tooltip player_id='1524561' first='Ashton' last='Lawless']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/ashton-lawless/"></a> is a super lowkey freshman right now, but he is consistently getting after the QB when on the field and is well-developed for his age. He is already at 6'2 200. He probably projects as an edge rusher right now, but could possibly end up playing off the ball. His speed works in his favor to instantly threaten both shoulders of the blocker. If left untouched, he has the closing speed to arrive at the football before the play can even develop. Still developing his pad level and winning at the first step, but he battles hard to shed blocks. He is willing to slap fight to keep his chest clean, a tool that he will need as competition stiffens. If he continues producing, he will get the love he deserves on the trail. I believe there is FBS and possibly P4 upside here."
