Despite missing half the season due to injury, Case displayed impressive dual-threat capabilities, accounting for nearly 200 all-purpose yards per game. In the pass game, Case showcased impeccable timing and anticipation in quick game and progression reads, releasing the ball either in the last step of his drop or after his first hitch. His mobility was key in play-action and bootleg, as he has the athleticism and mechanics to throw into windows on the run, including a 50-yard touchdown pass on a backside post booting to his left (his non-dominant throwing side). Likewise, Case averaged almost 11 yards per carry in the run game because of his athleticism. Trenton seemingly always has a plan pre-snap, as his throws are decisive and on time - especially with quick game. He has a natural awareness of a pass rush, as he has the ability to climb and navigate the pocket while simultaneously keeping his eyes downfield, completing downfield passes amidst pressure. When he does break the pocket, he still wants to identify a receiver rather than resort to his legs, completing multiple passes to the same sideline of his escape. The ball jumps out of his hand to his target on these throws, despite being 12+ yd routes and from the opposite hash most times. Likewise, Tristin throws with the same anticipation on inward breaking routes, such as slants, hitting his receivers in stride.
