He recorded 152 tackles in ’24, his 2nd consecutive season with 100+ tackles. The 2-way contributor is listed at a chiseled 6’1 208 and added 700+ yards rushing on the offensive side of the ball for the Knights. Malachi Character Malachi Character 6'1" | 185 lbs | LB Upson-Lee | 2026 State GA is a versatile two-way player who was highly productive as a rusher and a tackler in 2024. He is now listed up to 6’1 208 and should be viewed as a LB projection. He is super thin in his limbs, possessing room to fill out. For a thinner guy, he takes on contact well from blockers and is capable of willing his way off blocks. He will also dodge blockers. He has plenty of range in the second level, galloping sideline to sideline. While thinner, he isn’t afraid to stick his head into contact and strike. Character holds two D1 offers and is a late riser candidate.

This guy is stock riser for sure. He has had an outstanding season on both sides of the ball. On offense he had 122 carries for 773 yards with 8 TDs. Absolute beast on the defensive side of the ball with 142 TT with 20 TFL including a sack and a INT.

Character has gained 15 pounds and has moved to the MLB spot since his profile was updated. He has P4 speed, is quick to read where the play is going, and gets downhill fast and delivers a decisive blow. His next level potential is defiantly on the defensive side of the ball.

He picked up his first offer from Georgia Southern this past week after a visit. D1/P4 potential as he continues to grow.

A versatile athlete who can make plays no matter where he’s lined up, Character is one of the top sleeper prospects in Middle Georgia who can absolutely play at the next level. He’s a tough, hard-running back on offense, and he’s a tackling machine on defense. He plays hard, runs well, and knows how to strike the ball-carrier behind his pads. He plays fast, aggressive, and knows how to make a secure tackle. He’s made 107 tackles so far this season for an eye-opening 15 TFLs. He’s made at least 10 tackles in each of his last six games with one interception. He’s a junior on the rise who should see his recruitment really pick up at some point.

An outstanding, sure-tackling defender out of the small town of Thomaston, Character is coming off a strong sophomore season and is having a breakout junior season this fall. The versatile defender has made 70 total tackles in six games along with 12 TFLs. In his last game, Character made an eye-opening 17 tackles and two TFLs against Mary Persons. He’s active, productive, and rarely leaves the field as he’s also an impressive running back for his Upson-Lee squad. Defensively, he knows how to strike and brings an intimidating presence. He’s flashed Power Four potential since last year and is quickly becoming one of the top overall defenders in that area of Middle Georgia. His stock is on the rise, and he’s likely to see some offers come his way down the road.
